would you blow it on the MOD Dieter CQB or would you get an Emerson Commander AND a CRKT M16 instead?

I'd go w/ one of these and use the remaining $120 to take a fine looking woman to dinner.

$200 spend it on a case (or 2) of ammo!
I can't use that dang bayonet on my rifle, so I might as well use it as a knife... [}:D] |
58sniper, already have the Mini CQC7B, but I am really considering getting the full size like you said. The more, the merrier.
mr_wilson & sitedev, not looking for consumables. Besides, I can hide the knives from the wife better than 2 cases of ammo. he he :) But those Cold Steel's look very nice. |

I got one when he (Emerson) was making them at Benchmade. About two weeks after I got mine with the gray blade, they came out with the black blade. I was a little bummed. The ONLY problem I've had with mine is the belt clip got a little bent. An email to Benchmade got a free replacement. It's thin, got a "gripy" surface, and strong as hell. You can't go wrong. I also carry a Timberline spring assisted, a CRKT Kiss (actually 2, a big and a small), and a Cold Steel Kobun. All are nice. I also have a CRKT Bearclaw on my tac vest. |

I've had 2 CRKT M16's and they're a nice knife. Two problems I've had with them. The blades are prone to surface rust in a big way, from just everyday carry. I didn't carry them as utility knives, and they were rarely if ever used for such. Also, the liner lock gets sloppy after a while, it's happened on both of mine. Maybe thats because I like to play with them, who knows.

I'd buy a few $40-50 Spyderco knives because they are well made and i'll lose at least 2 a year beacuse sh*t get's lost!

I have an Emerson Commander, a CQC-7Wave, a clip Point Blackbird, and a clip point and a tanto point Raven. Consider a Mini-Commander. The Commander is kinda big but is an excellent knife if you have a lot of carving to do and you have room in your pocket. Be very careful with any Emerson knife with the wave feature. The blade WILL open as you draw it from your pocket unless you take precautions against it.

$200.00 = Microtech Auto SOCOM Elite
I would recommend the black oxide finish with the partially serrated blade. Very choice!! ________________________________________________ Semper-Fi, 03 out!! [sniper] |

Dave_G, I believe that. I think some guys are filing them off to be safe. Actually, if they had one without the wave, I would probably feel more comfortable with it.
Neither.
I'd look around and find a nice Microtech fullsize SOCOM, which can be had for 200 bones if you shop. Best damn knife I've ever owned (and I have an Emerson). Pit |
I'd get a $54 Benchmade 840 Assent semi serrated with the spyder hole and 900 rnds of SA M-193 55grn from Ammoman.
I'd save up another $150.00 and buy a Strider GB (tanto point) or AR (spear point). Thicker than an Emerson and truly bomb-proof.
Emrerson Commnader...or like Submariner said save the extra $$$ and get a Strider GB or AR....I have a GB (#014) and it truly is "bomb-proof" to quote Submariner....
Take care, Steve |

Paragon X-O lite Automatic
and any other $50 knife you want. Jake |

Spend another $70 and get a Auto S.E.R.E. by Al Mar

Auto knives are illegal to carry unless the blade is under 2".
BenchMade with with Axis lock(name your flavor).
Spend the rest on something else you've wanted for your "tactical collection", flashlight, more mags, etc... Joe |
I carried a Benchmade/ Emerson CQC7 automatic until I bought an Emerson Commander. Now my Benchmade sits in my dresser drawer.
$200 still seems much if you are talking about those three inch inter locking rings binder kind of folder.
