NFA '34 as long as it would also trump the GCA '68 as well.

1934 created the assault weapon problems we have now by criminalizing certain classes of guns.  The 68 act only really made it mandatory to have a serial # on a gun and banned mail order rifles - IMHO it wasn't a biggie.  94 bans wouldn't exist if 34 were trumped.

If overturning a case, Miller is my top choice also, I still can't believe this guy was convicted on a sawed off!

My vote is also to stab at the heart of the beast, the '34 NFA.

well, who's to say that the '34 law wasn't the impetus for the other crap that followed?

in other words, if i could really turn back time (repealing a law is not turning back time), i'd ix-nay the '34 law.  cooler heads will have prevailed.  as soon as prohibition was repealed those evil machine guns weren't so popular once there wasn't a reason to go gunning people down in the street.  and there wouldn't have been this huge cry to ban guns.

but while we're re-writing history.  Roosevelt does NOT get elected.  not even that first time, let alone the 3 times afterwards.  can we say "american father of socialism" class?

Don't forget, without the 68, we wouldn't be able to have ammo shipped to our homes.

I'd say 1986.  That one is driving up the costs of the guns I want.

Wrong choice of words on my part, but close enough for government work; that and I was playing around with the poll set-up with no option to "turn back time" and/or repeal my question.

Besides, the Cher reference posted by CAMPYBOB was a bad joke I couldn't resist.
