Me and a couple friends want to go on a road trip and dont know where to go. we live west of Dallas and the less gas we have to use, the better. What would be a Kick A place to go and why?

how far are you thinking of going?

Drive as far North as you can in like 2 hours, or pick any direction and drive as far as you can in a certain amount of time. You would be suprised what you find.

to the lottery office with the winning ticket and an AR in the passenger seat.

I'd take a lot more road trips if gas wasn't $4.20 a gallon.

I think you'd just end up at an Indian casino in Oklahoma

Go to the Brazos and float it (near New Braunfels)

Go to Texoma

Newport beach CA right now.  That would make me happy.

Laughlin Nevada is a cool little town on the Colorado river.  Close to vegas, too.

Go visit the Texas Ranger Museum is Waco.

It is not that far of a trip and there is more gun porn in there than one can imagine. Plus there are hundreds of little interesting places to stop along the way.

Better yet, do the whole Grand Tour:  Grand Canyon, Bryce AND Zion.

I'd drive to a desolate isolated area preferably with woods, venture out and don't come back for a while.

Take 180 (and smaller hwys) West to Carlsbad NM. Carlsbad Caverns.

From there take 285 up to Roswell and check out the UFO junk.

Continue North on 285 until you hit 54 and head North East twords Tucumcari and straight through to the Texas Panhandle twords Dumas (Dumbass) and Suntree.

Then Head South through Armadillo and  287 Back home.

The KEY to this rather dusty and dreary road trip is to pack your ARs/ other varmint rifles/handguns and pop as many prarie dog towns and coyotes as you run accross.

ETA......and bring a metric shit ton of ammo and a cooler with lots of ice.

You should go hiking and camping in SE Oklahoma

Or you could make and ammo delivery to OKC if your feeling nice.

Last year I rode with a friend from Dallas to San Jose Ca. Had a great time in New Mexico. Stopped at all the tourist traps, fireworks stores, Hooters and guns shops we came across. also there was Cadillac ranch, porn store at 11pm in west Texas, J&G Guns in Prescott. Hit Oklahoma just to say I was there.

Well Im going to the dunes in Roswell tomorrow to ride quads which is my second hobby after guns n such. We were thinking of heading north but im not sure what funds will allow on account of the best fuel saver among our vehichles is my avalanche so maybe somewhere close like a hiking trip somewher or something where we can just go hang out.
