[size=2]... They should jump on the opportunity to rid the region of terrorism. Evidence of this can be read into the commitment today when Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told Colin Powell his government would not object to [i][u][b]ANY[/b][/u][/i] U.S. efforts to seek anti-terrorism cooperation from the three former Soviet republics that border Afghanistan.
I don't completely trust Putin, however, he cannot believe that any covert (read as terrorism) effort to destabilize the West is the way to a prosperous future for the Russian motherland.[/size=2]
