Internet was out at my house the other night. I actually had to spend time with the family.

Assuming it somehow didn't cripple the economy and lead to armageddon, I'd be thrilled. I miss life before everyone was glued to their smartphones.
However, the suicide rate among millineals would spike dramatically as they no longer had a platform to share the selfies and pics that they use to validate themselves with. If the internet and TV went out, it'd probably lean left assuming people give a shit about newspapers. |

The Internet is the last bastion of free speech, no matter how hard the likes of Google or facecrook try, the more they clamp down, the more opertunity they create for their replacement. You just can't stop kekistani shit lords from /pol, R_the donald and other sites, more and more Internet dwellers are being seriously red pilled since gamergate, and they're only becoming more aware of leftist lunacy thanks to the media's actions during the election, Berkeley, the WSJ vs pewdiepie Oh and HWNDU. The old media empire is falling apart, the next is getting its news from much more indipendant sources. Take away the Internet for two years is giving the MSM it's recently lost monopoly back for that time. |

People will think this is a joke post.
The internet is an information superhighway. It would be as if Americans lost 30 IQ points overnight. The ability to find out anything, get anything, or see anything, instantly, at your fingertips, has fundamentally shaped the culture of the nation across all age groups. We are addicted to information. There is no going back from that long term. War or large scale riots. Several industries would collapse overnight - fueling an economic crash. Many places would suddenly not have necessary supplies either, because the internet is how communications are managed in this country for millions (VoIP, goods and services ordering). If the internet suddenly stopped working, America would be on it's knees. Most people today simply don't know how to function without it. It would be like taking electricity away 30 years ago. |

Lets get rid of all electronics. No internet, no TV, no radio, nothing. People might actually go outside and get back in shape. People might interact with each other and become normal again. I think we could all use a good unplugging and get back to normal. But of course this will never happen without some crazy nuclear war.
