Where'd it go? My wife cleaned up some stuff off of one of the shelves in the spare room where I keep all of my gun stuff, and now my M1a scope mount is missing the thumb screw. She moved "everything" into the room next to it. I cannot find the goddamn screw anywhere. Where the hell is it???

You had better search the trash cans, the garage (if you have goodwill boxes going out) and use a very intense light on her while she is strapped to a chair. This is the only way to truly find out.

It's in the same place that the one sock goes to if you put only two socks in the dryer.....

Check the vaccum cleaner?

Grab something else, bring it to her, and have her "lose" it for you.

I only find lost shit when I am looking for some other thing, usually months later.

sell the scope and I bet you find it 5 seconds after you ship the scope.

Figure out where the last place you would look is. That is where it will be.

Look EVERYWHERE. Now, wherever you have not looked, there it will be. Simple huh?

What's your wife doing in your gun room?

Better yet... what's she doing cleaning it?

Or 5 seconds after you get a replacement.

I misplaced the small primer magazine tube for my Dillon 550b. I looked for the damned thing for 2 days and finally called Dillon. They shipped me one for free. My wife found the original 2 hours after I called Dillon. She wasn't even looking for it when she found it.

Do you have a magnet you can use to go over the floors and corners with?

Take the other thumb screw and throw it up in the air. It will find it's mate.

Seriously, contact the manufacurer. Maybe they will send a free replacement,

The response I always love is "Where did you have it last?"

Gee... if I knew that, it wouldn't be lost, now would it?
