Hell a lightning link is probably 20k

MP5 sear pack is probably 35k-ish

I think I would get something historical, like a really nice condition WW1 Colt 1911, or perhaps a Revolutionary War-era muzzle-loader (if one can be found for that price).

I'd look to see what I could get in a shooter big bore double rifle. Haven't priced any for years, but it would be either that or a 50.   The double rifle would be more fun.

lame

I guess i'd go for some high dollar 2011 then.     I really dont have a whole lot of use for a .50 and no where to really shoot one.

I would like an original 1860 Army, with a Civil War
era serial number, in unissued condition or close to it.

Can I do that for $10,000?

No, Hughes Amendment.
Before that a transferable M16 was $750.00

Barrett M82A1, no questions asked.

$10K wouldn't cover a nice SPR or bolt gun with thermal or clip-on NV...

Either a L-39 Lahti if I could fine one in decent condition under $10K which might be tough.

However, I would most likely pick up a Sten as they are still routinely under $10K.

Reising M50 or perhaps and STG57

I kind of want a Reising but wouldn’t pay what they get for one. I really want an STG57 but once again out of my comfort range for a semi.

Hmmm...

Had you asked me back when I lived out west and regularly had access to 1000+ yard ranges (and the eyes to make it worthwhile), I wouldn't hesitate to say say some .338 Lapua boot gun... probably the Barrett MRAD, but without the rest of the money going to the optic, that would be a price prize.

Now? Shit eyes and shit access to ranges? Probably a variant of the Blaser R8 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I'd bet it wouldn't take long at all to get to 10k, even without an optic. I just love the bolt feel on those.

Probably a Genesis Arms Gen-12 (or the stupid expensive John Wick version, which seems to be the only currently-obtainable version of it).

Either that, or I'd have HS Precision build a takedown rifle in .308.

Or it would be a real Sharps rifle...
