I've seen it, I thought it was pretty good but a little strange tho... you really have to watch the movie closely and think about the symbolism in it.

Yah, I saw it....

I think it should have been up for some awards, IMO, it was really that good of a movie.

Not to mention the whole physical change Bale went through to do the role..holy shit.

Yes, there was a post about it some time ago. It was a pretty good movie. Gotta give it to the guy for being that dedicated for a role. Said he only allowed himself to eat an apple a day. Most times they carried or walked him from his trailer to the set because he was so weak.

that ain't shit

What really is insane is that after losing over 60 pounds, he had to put it all back on... solid muscle for Batman less than a year later.

I heard the the British actor John Hurt had his two front teeth removed for movie role. Does anyone know if this is true?

...the man is a fool if it is.

I always got the impression that once you had a certain level of muscle and lost it that you could get back to that level easier than if you hadn't had that muscle before...Sort of like when your arm shrivels while in a cast but grows back to full size pretty quick after the cast comes off...but I'm sure he had to hit the weights as well.

He gained 100 pounds of muscle in 8 months.  The March 2006 issue of Flex Magazine has the "Flexy Awards" in it and he was the winner.  183 to 120 to 220 in 13 months between The Machinist and Batman Begins.
