I just noticed that I've been a member of this board for two years this month. Damn the time goes fast. I've gotten engaged since then, and am buying my first house. I've seen a lot of changes around here, too. Sometimes I even miss McUzi. Just thinking aloud.

I know it doesn't say it, but I've been here since early 1999. I went by another name then and things got lost in the shuffle when I changed names. Anyone remember the days and months leading up to Y2K here...fun stuff. Anyone remember Zen ? ahhhhh, memories. [:D]

i found this place after I bought my first AR, if only I'd known sooner I can only imagine how funny Nov - Dec 1999 would have been here

Two years. I used to measure my post count by how many times I posted in a day. Nowadays I measure it in how many times I post a month. I still visit just about everyday though. Just not as much time as of late to do as much surfing as I used to.

Lurked for a while before I finally started posting.

My profile says since Nov 2000, but I had to have been registered before that. I registered here before I registered on GT. I would have to say Nov 1999. I remember all of the Y2K posts. I remember learning for the first time what a BOB was. I remember when the "Beta" version of AR15.com came out as a test. I still like the other background (IIRC it was white, wasn't it?). I still consider myself an newbie, and I'm not exactly a prolific poster. I have, however, when shooting with multiple AR15.com members and had a good time. I have received great advice on how to deal with Loc-Tite when it gets in places that it never should. Sometimes I miss Imbrog|io and McUzi. I really miss all the TEOTWAWKI talk.

Since 97-98... don't remember exactly when. I was on the old E-mail list... [:\]
Link Posted: 4/30/2003 5:15:33 PM EDT
O comn, you really didn't need to make a thread on something that can be seen at all times did you? [soapbox]
Link Posted: 4/30/2003 5:28:09 PM EDT
Free McUzi!

Since December 2001. Never have I found a better source for information about stuff I never knew I needed... now I just need to figure out how to pay for it all!

I lurked and lurked and lurked, and then finally registered.[:D]

I wasn't shooting for a real 'registered member' date... more or less a thread about what has changed since you became a member, and what you miss from the old boards.
Link Posted: 4/30/2003 5:45:05 PM EDT
Probably a month or two before I registered. I delurked just so I could participate in 'Ask sgtar15' [:P]
Link Posted: 4/30/2003 5:55:53 PM EDT
I'll have to look at the date after I submit this one to find out. I do recall that when I registered, I was a "Junior member". I had almost reached "Member" status when things changed. I believe I just missed Mcuzi, although there were lots of references every day back then.

I don't know how long I've been coming here. It seems like a long time. How do all of you guys remember?

Started lurking in 1999 and registered not long after. I remember posting in a thread about "bloopers" in The Matrix and then my account just.....disappeared. Never knew what happened, I just went back to lurking for a couple years then finally registered again.

I'm not into time. It's the content of my posts, sense of humor, knowledge and good looks that count. [8D]

98? Long enough ago to get the name AR15!
Link Posted: 4/30/2003 6:33:00 PM EDT
Two years as well. Not much change personally. Graduated HS, going to college in the same neighborhood (not entirely by choice).

Ive been here a while but as you can see by my post count, I don't post a reply to everything that moves like some of you.. I've actualy been a member here since about 98 at least, but somehow I lost that date. BISHOP

How many posts did it take to move from 'Junior Member' to 'Member'? Wasn't it something like 25 posts??? I thought I'd never reach that number! Now I do it every two days or so! [:D] By 'it' I mean make 25 posts. Eric The(JustSoTheWiseacresAmongYouAren'tWorkingOvertime)Hun[>]:)]

Through 4 moves in 2 states, 3 jobs, 1 wedding, 1 birth, A shameful democrat president and a great Republican one. And I'm just a newbie. Kind of makes you wonder what surprises the next few years will reveal. AR15.com- the only constant in my life
Link Posted: 4/30/2003 8:30:30 PM EDT
Since 1998. Then stopped visiting here around the same time Zen got pissed off at Campybob(or some other bob) and left. Started lurking again in 2000 and posting alot since 2001. Changed my screen name a few times.
