I'm still F'd up!

Ever since I saw that download of the Russian solier being executed, I have had a tough time getting it out of my head (no pun intended). Go 'head and call me a pussy, but it just was so graphic that it got the ball rolling in my head about life and death and how cheap someone's existence can become in war. Probably thinking too much, however, it was pretty sick.

Good. It's called being normal. I don't know why we insist on rubbing our faces in excrement like that anyway. Sure, real life can be tough and even brutal, but I think McUZI hit the nail on the head when he said, " Child porno exists also but I don't have to/ don't want to see it." If the film is real, I have to assume that the soldiers family and friends will get to see it on the net as well. That is even more disturbing.

The sad part is you will probably remember that for the rest of you life. I have not had the oppertunity or the desier to see the video. But I think that it being shown is bad enough but some are accually using this mans death as a form of entertainment also. I am not refering to anyone here but I can't help but think that some people out in the world would sit there and watch it over and over again.

I am going to get off this as I am feeling rather sick to my stomach thinking about it.

The image danced in my head that night also. The audio was as bad as the video.
I hope he deserved it, but probably not. Just some poor hapless bastard in the wrong place at the wrong time..

War IS hell, and this stuff goes on more that most can imagine. The occaisional prisoner "shot while escaping", or "I thought he was reaching for a weapon", or "I didn't understand that he was trying to surrender" happens often. We seldom hear about it after the fact because the killer is embarrased by what he did. Few who have done these things speak of them. All who have fought know these things.

The most disturbing thing about the video is not the kill, it is the people yakking in the background like the whole thing means nothing.

Think some Russians have seen this video? Think some Russians would rather be somewhere else other than Chechnya? Probably the point.

A few short years after nam, hustler printed some very greusome pics of "gi war casualties" i`ve seen plenty of blood/injuries, and it normally doesn`t affect me. seeing those photos made me feel light headed and sick....the fact that one of my brother in laws came home in a box didn`t help....i guess if you think TOO much, it gets to you.......

If it teaches you to never give up, to never, ever give up but to fight till your last breath...then it is worth watching the video.

Think of the poor guys used as medical experiments by the Nazis. Bad guys can be really BAD. That is why it is important to have a personal relationship with your Creator....He will provide you with a code of ethics and decency to live by, an honorable way to treat others...without these, the world would be a complete hell. Whenever God's laws do not rule in a man's life you get what you see in the video.

I was in Viet Nam 1968. I don't know the circumstances of the Russians execution, but I can tell you this. If your in war and guys you've been with through training,slept with,ate with,fought with,laughed with,LIVED with.You see a few of them die and you won't believe how angry a 19 yr. old can get.If your lucky enough to catch one of them alive,you won't believe what your capable of doing.

The "I'm still F'd up!" was an exaggeration- the video, as I explaind, got me thinking about the whole life/death thing. Anyway, thanx for the Rx doc, but I think I'll stick to simply finding the happy place and moving on.
