... In 10 minutes our President is scheduled to roll up to the Sheraton right next to my hotel (Hilton)
... They guy in the background is looking at me, probably because I had my binoculars out looking at him. ... The entire block is off limits to common folk. The white tents is where he enters. Even 7 and 6 Avenues surrounding me are closed. |

This was a common occurence when we played softball on the Ellipse. The fields were literally on the approach for MarineOne. They would bring park police/Capitol Police out and clear us from the zone, you'd see snipers setting up at each corner of the "approach zone" buildings. Then you would see about 4 or 5 teams on top of the White House.
We often played alongside the FBI and Secret Service Teams. |
|
Lets see how good the SS snipers are...go take the clothes hanger pole out of the closet, shoulder it at the window and see how long it takes for 750 grains of speeding sunshine to enter your window! [;)]
What hotel are you in anyway? |
|
I was in that hotel last year and watched this couple get it on in the building just to the right.
Now that was a show! |
|
... Here's a better pix of their drag bags.
... Waiting to get a pic of the caravan |

I got it on real good authority (USSS UD) that they conceal a heavily fortified bunker. |

Remmys most likely. They call it the JAR. I've been looking to get some more information about them.
LMAO. Speeding sunshine....That was golden... I'd hate to be a guy in a window.... |

Don't look the beast in the eyes and get back to AZ quick !! |

The pics I've seen of them training they were using Remington 700s with stainless barrels and Leupold Mark IV M1s. Can you confirm? The spotters had those monster Steiner binnos.

Cool pics.
Hey make sure to head down West 46th Street and 5th avenue. That's where I used to work. Back then there were a lot of Brazilian babes hanging around there. I caught one and brought her back with me.[:D] |

What is that guy supposed to be doing? If he is supposed to be cover for the president, he is a dumbass and the presidents life is just as safe without him. Looks like he has a pony tail.......Mel Gibson wannabe?
|

"WinstonWolf gets centerpunched by a 7mm Mag...film at 11..."

Get your ass down there and tell Bush to make sure the AWB goes bye bye!

Quoted: OK, how smart is it take and post pics of US-SS snipers? View Quote ... Come on, you can't be serious. There are no less than 500 people looking at these guys taking pics. Street corners are packed with protesting DU types. It's a good thing we don't have punchies like you in in the USSS. |

Winston??? If they kick down your door, see if ya can get one of 'em to give us a heads up in a post will ya??? [;D]

Cool pics, Winston! It looks like I'm not headed back through NYC until the end of July; I think you were going to be gone by then, right?

Good thread. Different. This doesn't happen every day, you know.

Cool pics W-W!!
I once saw Pres. Reagen speak at a local fairgrounds. Since the speech was about the same as the one a few days earlier I started watching the SS. While standing about 10' from one. The snipers on the top of the backdrop didn't do anything to hide themselves or the rifle with the biiiigg scope. It's all about intimidation. "We see you, watching us, but WE have the big gun." |
|
they are probabily still mad about the UN statue ilumination incident, now they are bidding theur time...
|
|
Winston, you feel like coming out to Long Island for some shooting this weekend? Ray and I were discussing it yesterday and thought we'd loan you some CLP so you can clean our guns....because we feel bad about you being homesick!

View Quote Remington in 7mm Rem Mag, usually with no headstamp on the cases either. View Quote Yeah, their rifles, the JAR (Just Another Rifle) is "based" on the Remington 700 (heavily modified). They typically use 7mm, but almost always have a second caliber as an option. My buddy, who is w/ the USSS Uniformed Division, has shown me some nice pics of their rifles and gear. He's trying out for the Counter Sniper team in the fall. I don't envy him. It gets damn cold in DC in the winter. |

Hope your not afraid of heights, dayum that guy is standing close to the edge!
