I bought one of those a few years ago (mine is a Glock 22). I have had the same debate you are having now. But since the 40's are the once that most often blow up, I just keep it locked away in it's case and carry my G17. I figure that's a good excuse for preserving the finish.

It was actually more of a joke than anything else. I currently have two Glock .40's. But it is fairly common knowledge that the .40 Glocks have a much higher KB rate than the other calibers (minus the .357 Sig perhaps).

Hell I didn't know that. I bought 2 .40 cal glocks within the past 2 weeks. Love em both.

I'm on my 3rd Glock now starting off with the G22. That thing shot like hell...i tried every type of amo for it and it still shot right to ground about 9 feet in front. I have since bought a G17 and 21,,which are awesome. I think i just got a lemon with the 40...
My buddy's G22 shoots great...gues there are some lemons out there.
