Never did finish reading the series. I should do that.

By now the actors should be comfortable enough in their roles to give a good performance.

My wife wants to see the new one but i have never watched any of the previouse HP movies. Are they stand alone or do you have to watch them all to know whats going on?

I am looking forward to it as well.

I never read the books so what ever is not in the movie doesn't matter to me.

Hate to admit it, but I read all the books after back surgery. They were really good, especially the last 2 books. My kids love the HP movies.

The problem with most HP movies is the impossibility of cramming 700 pages of book into 2.5 hours of movie.  They have suffered as a result.

The wife and I will probably see the movies in theater.  We've seen the other movies, but never read the books.

I have read the entire series three times.  One of the best pieces of literature ever, right up there with, in my opinion, The Lord of the Rings.

But the movies sucked big time.  I hope the final two movies are better.

Here's my thread on the subject:

I read the books, along with my oldest daughter.

I really liked reading them, and she and I have our little Harry Potter code that we talk just me and her...

Yeah, I too am looking forward to the Deathly Hollow movies...

Harry Potter fan here.

From the looks of these previews they have corrected this problem.

Yes, I think splitting up the book was a good idea.  It should be better than the previous 3-4 movies.

I guess it is a good show for fruit loops.
If teachers preach it it mustn't be for a good reason.
