Many of the big ones do!  Some need it, but most don't.  It's a status symbol.  It's part of a gansta' rappers image.  You are nobody if you don't have an entourage ('crew' in street slang).

Not an entertainer, but Dianne Fienstien, the number 2 on the most grabby of all politicians, has seen to it that she has a concealed handgun permit.  By the way, she doesn't want you to have one.  She claims she needs it, because she's in danger from the gun crazies.
