We were in Phoenix over the weekend and ate there three times. Why can't they come to Albuquerque again?

Los Pollos Hermanos doesn't like the competition.

I am probably in the minority on this, but I would rather have a white castle than an In and Out...
we got an In and Out about 2 years ago and I have only eaten there twice.

I'll agree with that.

In&Out was huge disappointment for me when it hit Texas. I'd heard how good In&Out was, but Burger Street is at least 3 orders of magnitude better.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:07:02 AM EST
I would support In n Out in Abq.
Freddie's is pretty good though.
Had Blake's for dinner last night.
Little Reds on Mountain Rd is damn good too.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:07:07 AM EST
In n Out is over rated. I don't see what the big deal with it is? Animal style?
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:08:29 AM EST
In n out is alright, and it's one of the best fast food choices, but I guarantee you have some local burger places that are way better if you look around.

Also being Albuquerque I bet you have some damn good Mexican food with green chiles which id rather have any day of the week.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:08:34 AM EST
Shit, at least you can still drive to one unlike us.

I agree it is overrated but for the price, its pretty damn good.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:09:58 AM EST
I will fucking murder a box of retarded kittens for some In n Out! THAT being said, I think Blake's is better. Been eating there since I was a kid on road trips out to visit my mom's family in AZ and NM.

There is something special about a double double, animal style, with some well done fries... But there is something even more special about a Double Lotta Combo with green chilis.

I think it's the fact that most other fast food is so sub par, that when a place has non frozen beef, and the fries are fresh, they rate it way much higher. I agree that it's way better than mcdonalds, and most other fast food joints, but if you ever eat at highly rated local places, or eat good quality food at home it's not that great.

I&O burger was awesome 20 years ago... their quality has plummeted. (I can only guess that the aggressive expansion is the root cause)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head over to Fat Burger and get 2 "baby fats" with X-tra cheese & O-rings

At least you have a whattaburger.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:13:06 AM EST
In n Out sucks. I have no idea why they have such a following.

Mighty Fine followed by Whataburger FTW.

OP, go to Griffs Hamburgers on Central and Wyoming. Better than In-N-Out.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 11:22:37 AM EST
I would happily trade my In and Out for a Chik-fil-a.

Just eat a big mac. In and out

Blake's is better. Green chili cheese burger, all day long.

It's all relative. I live down in southern NM.

We'd love to have Wecks, Golden Pride, etc down here.

Agreed. And often, some decent BBQ. I work up there about once every week or so. Hopefully it's always on Thurs-Sun, so I can get Sparkys.

Life is good here.

Because Blake's. Which is better. It doesn't have a stupid, confusing hip secret menu.

I don't think they should have ever expanded outside of California. It ruins the mystique.

I wonder if the tastes differs from area. The ones in Dallas, TX are disguting. Paperlike texture.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 12:01:51 PM EST
Blakes double meat, green chile and cheese, any day over in and out,

except the fries, in and out fries are awesome.

now I gotta get blakes for lunch
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 12:03:16 PM EST
I'd like it, but I'm ten minutes drive from the Owl Bar & Cafe, and Manny's Buckhorn, so I'm hardly hurting for good burgers.
Link Posted: 1/20/2015 12:04:23 PM EST
I love In N Out!! OP, I don't recall them ever being in Albuquerque?? I have family in SoCal so INO is always my first stop after I fly in. And if I'm driving west along I-40, I always hit the one in Kingman on my way there, and it's my last stop on the way back.

I make a drive to DFW area once in a blue moon to satisfy my URGE, but its been a while.

I have heard of a number of people who complain of this, problem is, they are eating the wrapping paper also. Unwrap the burger before you stuff it in your maw.

You should go to Monte Carlo down on Central by the river. Holy shit, that place makes a good burger.

new mexico guys:

if you're ever in deming, go to the patio restaurant and order the "wildcat burger" with green chile.

also be sure and ask for the seasoned curly fries.

you will forget any chain / fast food you ever had.

we live 40 miles away and make the trip just to eat there.

ps: the green chile is geared towards native new mexicans.

One thing I have noticed is that if you get it to go, it sucks. If you eat there, it's really good. For some reason I just really like In and Out. Every time I have eaten there I have really enjoyed it. To the point where I have even ordered another burger like a good fat person.
