Found a dealer with a toy I wanted. He registered the receivers in the eighties and built them up about 6 months ago.

He wanted right at 2 grand for one of them....... I almost jumped on it.

Why "almost"?  I'd pay the man and then figure out the paperwork and legal niceties.

Seriously, I may have busted out the credit card for that...

I'm too close to asking for the guy's contact info.

For $3095 you could have a MAC10, pay your tax stamp, and have a Lage upper.

Would you have been paying $2005 or $2200?

I am willing to bet it sold.

If any of you are DFW locals he is at the Mesquite rodeo shows.I really considered going into debt for that one.....2 grand almost 3 really after all is said and done really would not have killed me......Sadly though because Dallas sucks big hairy monkey balls about doing sign offs I'd need to set up a trust.

Yeh I'm pretty sure I would've jumped on that and faced the wrath of the redhead later.

even though I have no desire to own one, knowing what they go for, I would have bought it just to flip it.

Hide your dog.

I would have bought it on a credit card if I had to.

I may have decided the gun wasn't for me and sold it later.

The guy is selling a $3000 gun for $2000

Hard to think of a reason not to buy it.

you could shoot the piss out of that gun and still turn around and sell it for $3000

and someday in the future, $5000

and somedaylater in the future, $6000

etc

I'd buy it in a heartbeat.  I don't particularly care for that gun, but it's a starting point.  But here I be in Commiefornia, where exhaling carbon dioxide is almost illegal.  What happens if the state learns I fart and release noxious gases?

Yeah, I would have bought that.  I don't even want a MAC.  But that's about the cheapest way to enter the full auto game these days, and that price was cheaper than I've ever seen.

I wouldn't be too sure about that.

I had two. Bought them for $750 each and sold them at $1500 and $1800.

They're fun for about a month, then meh.......

MAC's are fun. Without some Mods, they're not very practical. Any class 3 below market value is a good investment, and I'd buy $2K MAC's all day long.

Ain't that the truth. A few years ago before that whole M-249 conversion thing that was never approved.  Mac's were a cheap NFA toy.  I found a motivated seller, who had 2 NIB macs for $1000.

I've already got three transferable M11s, but for that price I would have bought it just to decorate the safe.
