I drove up to the local mountain plinking range today and bought my SBR Krink forgery, I let some of the others around me shoot it.
I figure NFA owners should act like recruiters instead of snobs, the more people we get into NFA the better. Maybe if enough people get into it one day they may
be enough of them to see the ridiculousness of the laws and push to repeal them.

NFA owners aren't snobs...just machine gun/full auto owners.

Gotta protect dat waste of money.

How's it a waste of money? The ones I've bought and sold seem to have made me a bit of money.

I've tried to recruit people to the NFA world, but they are cheapskate pansies who are afraid of ATF.

Nice, very generous.

Futile, but still very kind of you.
Link Posted: 1/19/2015 9:55:48 AM EST
I don't have an interest in FA, but I might do an SBR.
Link Posted: 1/19/2015 9:57:16 AM EST
I wish I had disposable funds and a fun place to shoot a SBR.
25yd indoor range just doesn't cut it.
Link Posted: 1/19/2015 9:59:15 AM EST
Wish I would have bought one of those kits when they were available.

Peekay...good call.

Matty, i am good friends with machine gun owners. I dont own one and believe me, all of the mg owners i have met are some of the coolest dudes out there. They all have had no issue handing you their mg, a quick lesson on function, and even a mag or two of their ammo to blow through.

I think you owe them an apology.

Oh and OP, nice krink. I want one bad.

I went to the range to be sure my CWW rifle was sighted in and brought my new AAC 22lr can. There were two other shooters at the range and I let them shoot it. They thought it was great.

Yep. I need more machineguns, prices have gotten even more ridiculous than when I got this:

Link Posted: 1/19/2015 10:16:15 AM EST
I shouldn't have to give my money away to put a shorter barrel on MY gun. That being said, I bought a 10" 300 BLK I want to use for some white tail in the upcoming hunting season. I was going to rock my sig brace if I didn't get my tax stamp for it (basically holding off because of the 200 bucks, and deciding between SBR'ing it or suppressing first), but now it looks like I will be forging forward with this soon.

Thanks ATF for making me more decisive.
Link Posted: 1/19/2015 10:16:45 AM EST
I did the same. I went out to my in laws and let them shoot my suppressed 8" 300 BLK. They are by no means gun people but not anti gun either. They loved it.

Why did you conform the Man?
You do know the ATF have a legal right to come to your house now, right?

The porcelain autosear already cost more than you make in a month, there's no way I could afford a Glock 7 after that.

Good on you for being an advocate.

Do you guys believe though that the majority of gun owners even know the laws on sbr's?
I would expect them to know a little about full auto but sbr's?
I bet the majority of them would mention a sawed off shotgun if asked what they knew but probably wouldn't even know legal lengths.
I don't spend a lot of time at public shooting ranges talking to other gun owners because their gun handling scares the shit out of me so I usually go in the middle of the week when no ones around or shoot on private property.
Just curious and am not trying to run them or anyone down.

Solid work.

I always advocate NFA at the range. Better to get more people involved, and to make it more accepted!

Sexy rifle, too.

I rsent that remark. Out of the thousands of rounds that have been down the pipe of my selectfire, more of them have been fired by others than by myself. The only problem I've had is those that got pissed when I didn't want them feeding the HK with steel cased cheap shit.
Link Posted: 1/19/2015 1:20:41 PM EST
I'm not even a fan of that platform but thats a sweet looking SBR!
Link Posted: 1/19/2015 1:21:44 PM EST
I went to the range yesterday too. The guy next to me wanted to know if I had my stamp book with me for my SBR. Funny, he knew what a stamp book was and he thought he knew what a SBR was, but I don't think he knew what a pistol is. No sig brace.
