Just to see what the hell all this hubub was about. I rode my motorcycle down, but forgot my camera so I took a cell phone pic.

Didn't see much action, but I did see several blackhawks in the area.

he said the illegals were all crossing the border east due to them building 3 walls. I remmeber one tall metal wall/fence about 10 years ago.

he lives near the border...too close IMO, but it sure was nice there.

Yep. You could catch it near a park in the center of town. But that was in 1983. San Diego was still a nice city back then. I've heard it's not so good now.

Any by motorcycle, you mean car.
And by down to the border, you mean Taco Bell.

Funny thing, I went down to the park yesterday, saw these squirrels fighting over a nut...

I looked over at this guy sitting at the park bench...

I asked him, "What's going on?"

He said, "Just protesting", then showed me this sign...

I then showed him the card I carry in my wallet...

So you were down by NAS Imperial Beach and Borderfield State Park?  You need to take a look at the border area there on Google Earth.  Lots of trail on the north side of the fence and "metro" Tijuana right up to the fence.

Be glad you took the trip yesterday.

My border pics from my motorcycle. We go accross the border for some tacos and beers after a long days ride through some San Diego mountain roads. Usually turns out to be a 400 mile ride for me.

Tacos are just great! None of that mystery meat you find in Taco Bell & Dell Tacos.

This is us returning to the US side from Tecate Mexico. This is the new gate (at the time new). They've gone all high security since 9/11. Heavy metal gates, cameras, narrow winding pathway. It'll be too hard for some one to blow past these gates.

Looking back towards the Mexican side. We always cut to the front of the line of cars. There is usually a line a mile or two in lenght. Just depends what time of day and the day of the week. The cars don't give us any problems nor the Federali. We just get waved to the front of the line. There is no way for us to hide an illegal immigrant/drugs on our bikes. They just check our drivers license and wave us through. So, we don't hold up the line all that much.
