If I should do it.

My buddy wants to trade me an Enfield No1mk3 for an ISSC mk22 scar clone looking thing I have.

I just don't know, what think you all?

He wants to trade you a classic rifle for a schmoegun.

Make the trade and DBAS

i'd do that in a heartbeat, and turn around and buy a proper .22 to replace the scar knock off.

I have many .22 rifles, that isn't a worry. I got this rifle from the same guy a few years ago in another trade. I can't remember what I traded him but it wasn't anything special.

I do have a M1917 and Ross that this would look nice next to

Is that a Canadian term?

They aren't making SMLE Mk.III anymore. They're probably still making the SCAR-looking .22 thingy.

What is the condition, to include bore, of the Enfield? If it's a non shooter then you are trading a working rifle for a wall hanger, if it's nice with a good bore, then go for it if it's something you want.

Do it. I've regretted passing up on classic guns along the way.  .22 clones (a buddy offered me a deal on a GSG MP5 .22 clone)...not so much.

Wouldn't even hesitate to trade. I do love the curio stuff though.

Timeless and useful vs novelty. Do it.

Unless the Enfield is sporterized you should have already made this trade.

Need more data on the SMLE. Maker? Condition? Matching parts?

As long as the SMLE is in good shape I'd do it.
