I want to eat nothing but animals and animal products, no veggies or fruit. Mammals,Fish, and Fowl. Can it be done without developing a vitamin deficiency?

You're an omnivore. Being a carnivore or vegan is not the best option for you. Why do you want to do this, anyway? Shits and giggles? A bet?

I found it hard to do. I tried it once but I just felt drained. I notice the same thing if I try to refrain from eating meat and eating only vegetables and fruits.

Um, a guy already did this. His name was Atkins.

While it sounds like a cool idea, being strictly carnivore will quickly deprive you of valuable nutrients. You will die of malnutrition in short order. You have got to balance it out. That's how humans are made. You've gotta eat some meat AND veggies to be healthy.

No, you will get scurvy.

And the comment about poop, is pretty close to dead on, that stuff is some 99.9 percent digestible, just a little coyote crap here and there. If I eat grains (rarely), I get big cow poops. No thanks needed for the visuals.

Now days I try and stay on the Neanderthin diet. Works for me, am 6 foot, and wear 34" pants, same as I did in college, and zero exercise.

Too avoid scurvy, eat raw meat, or at least rare meat, to get your vitamin C.

With cream?

Granted they probably didn't have the life expectancy to have heart disease become a major issue.

EDIT: They didn't waste portions of meat and ate most of it raw though, so that makes a big differance. Their diet varied during the summer, too as they were on the Caribou hunt.

Watch No Reservations w/Anthony Bourdain on the travel channel.

In one episode he was staying with an Inuit family and they did a seal.

Put in on a drop cloth on the kitchen floor and sat around munchin' on various parts til all that was left was some bones.

here it is
