My dream EDC knife would be a "tactical folder" ( I HATE that term, BTW) with a bottle opener. A nice one handed opening locking blade of around 3.5" (something like a Griptilian) with a Swiss Army/Boy Scout knife style folding bottle opener on the end.

That would be pure, unadulterated win.

Screw that, bottle opener ON the blade.

DPx Gear HEST Folder.

HEST Folder

The Limited Edition runs are about to be delivered, production runs following soon thereafter.

DPx and the HEST were until a couple weeks ago marketed in conjunction with ESEE Knives (formerly RAT Cutlery) though DPx and Robert Pelton were always their own seperate entity. Now Pelton/DPx and Jeff Randall ESEE have seperated their ventures and are both workign independently. From the way Pelton is talking you won't find a better warranty on a folder.

Yeah, I'm aware of the HEST. Cool knife,  but I'd rather have the opener indepentent of the blade.

+1... put your left hand around the neck of the bottle, just below the cap, take your (closed) folder in your right, put the back of the blade below the cap, use the side of your left index finger as a fulcrum and twist the knife with your right hand so the back of the blade lifts off the cap. Prost!

Yeah, I went to college and I don't drink swill with twist off caps. Did you make it through the 5th grade with that spelling? Maybe I should just have your Mom open my beers when she makes my sandwiches.

This is what I do if I don't have a BIC handy. Same idea, just a different tool.

Bud Light requires no superfluous opening device. You might want to stick to mixed drinks like the Booze Flash to avoid those tricky situations.
