I am glad someone else, has (going to) join our "Very Happy and Content" Husbands Club.

Hint 1: Join a range, is cheaper if you are a member, you are going to be spending a lot of time there.

3.5 yrs, that's a long time. You could have had 3 babies by now. Get with the program and pro-create, you are way behind.

Congratulations!

Now a little lecture from a pending ex-husband...

If you lived together your chances of divorce are something like 2x.  It seems the guys expect nothing to change while girls are all giddy about how much he will.

It would be well worth it to seek counseling or at least read up and try to work things out before you get there.

Good luck!

Before you get married, obtain a firearms owner's insurance policy, aka "pre-nuptial agreement"

Do you know why a bride always smiles as she walks down the aisle to the altar?

Because she knows she's given her last blowjob.

Keep that in mind and stock up NOW!

Congratulations (from a newbie).

Let me share the best two pieces of advice I received before I got married.

1.  Marriage is one-third better than anything you ever imagined it could be, one-third worse than anything you ever feared it could be, and one-third about what you expected.

2.  Being the husband means you have to go first.  It means being the first to offer to make up after an argument - especially when you *know* you're right.

Oh, yes.  You're making a promise to this young lady.  As a man of honor, you must keep your promise.

OTOH, guns are already not a problem.  I didn't buy my first until 3 years ago (right after the 2000 election).  Then, she wasn't altogether thrilled with it.  Now, she hardly ever lets me carry the Glock 30 I bought on 9/11/01.

Gen 2:18; Prov 18:22; Eph 5:25-33
"Not everyone believes what you believe!"
"My beliefs do not require them to."

Again, congratulations.

Take it from someone who knows, the test drive (living with her) is far different than actually buying (getting married).

It's true, there is a big difference between the two. It took me and the wife a couple of years to really figure each other out (of course the 4 years of deploying and the constant DETS didn't help out much).

We were married 12 years ago, and it's been the best thing for both of us.

We both agree that had I not asked her to marry me we probably would not have been together unmarried for this long.

I wish you many years of happiness.
