I like this part of the article:
The defense attorney said the fiancee, who was not identified, told him that the quarrel was over use of a computer in the house. The woman declined to comment to Newsday at the house.
He was probably either looking at porn or she got mad because he was spending to much time on AR15.com!
You know I feel bad for the guy, but he obviously broke the law and brought this all on himself. He got into an arguement with his girlfriend obviously got to mad and so called "menaced" his girlfriend with a handgun. What does "menace" mean? He either pointed the gun at her,our he was so mad she was scared enough to think he would do something bad with his handgun?
I suppose the point is, if you are going to have firearms you had better get a good grip on any and all kinds of anger management issues because just one slip and you can kiss your rights of owning anykind of firearm away for the rest of your life.
Also according to the article it says that there is some kind of city ordanance on how many firearms one can own? If this is true, whether we agree with this law or not, it still is the law and we "must" follow the law until it is changed! If you are going to break the law by owning certain types of firearms, or live in a city that restricts the amount of firearms you are going to have, then it would be wise for you to not draw attention to yourself or not break the law!
This guy was a dumb ass for not walking away from the arguement, he brought this all on himself.
Yea I agree that I find it stupid that they are focuseing on the so called "large amounts of weapons and ammunition", but what do you expect from the liberal spewing media and government.
This story would be an example of what not to do if you want to keep your firearms. Dont get into a heated arguement with your spouse or girlfreind, because it can come and bite you in the butt in the end. Walk away, think about things, get your head together about how best to handle the situation, hell even give in and not need to be right in the specific situation. This is alot better then going to jail, and loseing your rights to own firearms for the rest of your life! Part of the Brady law is if you have a domestic violence conviction you cannot own firearms, he should have known this since he is an attorney and part time officer.
He brought this all on himself. We should learn from this story, not just put down the liberals for doing what we all have come to expect from them. Does anyone really think that the liberals and the media are really going to change there stance on gun issues! I think it will be when hell freezes over personally!
