[wave of hand]
You will watch the movie, and it will be good. [/wave of hand] |

"Get in there you big furry oaf, I don't care what you smell!"
"Luke, at that speed do you think you'll be able to pull out in time?" "Put that thing away before you get us all killed." "You've got something jammed in here real good." "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought." "Sorry about the mess..." "Look at the size of that thing!" "Curse my metal body, I wasn't fast enough!" "She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid." "You're all clear kid, now lets blow this thing and go home." "Wedge! Pull out! You're not doing any good back there!" |
don't go for the tape... ... get the DVD. |
[wave of hand] You don't need to see the movie. This isn't the movie you are looking for[/wave of hand] |
And watch the whole thing frame-by-frame You know you want to. Embrace the nerd side!! |

Episode IV: A New Hope? Not as good as "Empire" but a solid 2nd place. Episodes I-III blow, & "all 'Jedi' had was a bunch of Muppets".
Ep IV good points: Carrie Fisher sweater puppies unbound under the white outfit!!!! |
Thats a matter of opinion. I like the prequels. |
Episdode 3 didn't blow as hard as 1 and 2, but Empire is definitely my favorite.
My .02 |
ESB here too. best of the lot.
I haven't seen the newest one yet. 1-2 were such let downs, I'll rent it. |
Don't get me wrong, I saw all three on the bigscreen opening week & will most likely buy the DVDs. Eps I-III could have been so much better than they were. And even the suckiest Star Wars is better than Star Trek. And none compare to Serenity/Firefly. |

Bunny, Danni told me that she hates any guy who watches that movie, and she woudl never have carnal relations with any who watch it. There's some incentive for you to resist your urges. |
So, how many times did you watch it since you first posted? |
[Wussie Vader] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! [/Wussie Vader] |
Die, Jar Jar Binks! |
I'll never buy the DVD if Lucas doesn't correct that blasphemy. |
That was the only regretable part of the whole movie. The lightsaber duels more than made up for it. Empire is still the best of the series though. ETA - I like Jedi too! |
The original was the best one. If you were a certain age in the summer of 1977 and saw that movie, it really blew your mind. And then you saw the movie again and again and again....

What a great movie! |
If memory serves "Pull out Wedge, you can't do anymore good back there." |
+1 Started a love for the franchise I can't shake. I have to admit... the movie came out exactly at the right time... Not sure how well it would have been received 2 years earlier or 2 years later! 3 weeks 'til Ep. III is on DVD! WOOO HOOO! Obviously, I have embraced my dork side... Thankfully my wife is tolerant |
I refuse to watch Episode IV. Every time I do Porkins dies.
Uh........ Am I the only one creeped out by this one? |
Do what I did: Buy a pirate version of the 1995 releases on DVD! |
I am too, only because that is not the correct line. God I am a dork. |
I was almost 13, and I saw that movie as often as I could afford it that summer. Drove all the girls in Jr. High nuts re-creating X-wing battles in class. I've been pretty disappointed with the new trilogy (and didn't even bother seeing them in the theatre). GunLvr |

I've never understood Star Wars...I don't go out of my way to watch it.
That being said...my dad took me to the one that came out in '99. I could have cared less...I didn't even understand it...big time waster. Bunny...DON'T DO IT! |
Yep ... I was 5 years old. Ep 4 was the only movie I've voluntarily seen multiple times in the theater (3 times). Disclaimer: I watched Matrix 3 two times in the theater but it wasn't voluntary. |
+2. I was seven. It blew me away and I saw it atleast four or five times in the theater. Still my favorite of the bunch. "Empire" was good because the bad guys had the upper hand at the end, but I had sooooo much hope that "Jedi" would top them both...and I was pretty disappointed by alot of it, especially the Ewoks. |
+1 Though I prefer the term "backup version"... |

Get back in your trunk, n00b. Bunny, watch the unmolested versions, not the "special" editions. Han fired first. |
You're gonna try ot blackmail me? Blam!! Try to blackmail me now beeeyaatch!
You're kidding right? Ok then turn in your man card. Cause your forgetting those scenes when Carrie is in the slave girl outfit. BTW HAN SHOT FIRST! (the one thing that ruins my watching of the DVD version of Episode iV). |
I KNEW it looked "different" than what I remember... couldn't put my finger on it though. That PC bastard Lucas! Like how Spielberg photoshopped the guns out of the Feds hands in ET. I have the original, unaltered VHS tape of that one. |
Only if the non special editions.
Thank god for the huge starwars fandom capping the laserdisks to dvd. |
That's how bad it is, the gorram sickly cute Ewoks & other muppets have so tainted my opinion of 'Jedi' that I forgot Carrie Fisher in the slave girl fetish outfit. BTW, the "bunch of Muppets" bit is a quote from "Clerks".
+1 WTF is up with Lucas & his re fuxxoring up the movies? He's been around Speilberg too long. |

Ok fess up you're R2D2 aren't you? (I noticed your name) |
Carrie Fisher in slave girl outfit. Yummy. No, make that EXTRA yummy.
