SSA-E is the way to go. I have two and a SD-E. They're my favorite triggers.

No love for CMC? No. SSA-E will be perfect. Why not? I'm considering buying a CMC soon, and what's the difference in quality between CMC and a Geissele? Everything. The cmc trigger is cut out of a flat piece of steel and then thrown in the bag. This makes for sharp and uncomfortable edges. And Bill Geissele does more for this site than most of the gun industry combined. He deserves the business. His triggers are very well proven. |

The CMC trigger is good... the Geissele is much better. Better fit and finish, better reset, and more reliable ignition. The Geissele is one of those things that costs a lot and is worth every penny. |

SSA-E . As for CMC , The guy I shoot with has sent 2 back with the same light firing pin strike problems . He is bailing and converting to Geissele . He has seen the light

Can everyone who has suggested the Geissele post a full disclosure if they have ever won one of them or been given one for free?
I own 3 Geisseles, paid for them all myself, and i think you should give the Larue MBT a try. |
|
Geissele's sale starts tomorrow so you better make up your mind fast! Im going with an ssa but if there wasn't the discount i was going to go with the g2, cause I doubt i would be able to tell the difference.

Larue MBT as for <$200 it is a great trigger (I got mine on sale but I still think it is worth the current price).
The wide trigger shoe is awesome. Granted I am not a trigger expert but in comparing it to my new Accuracy International AE MKIII trigger I feel it more than holds its own. |
|
Also.... Check out the Hiperfire triggers. I've moved from the G to Hiperfire in the 3-Gun rifles and have been extremely impressed.

I have a CMC in one of my SPR-types, and I like it a lot.
I have shot with Geisseles, and they are also very nice. For me, it was a price thing. Got a CMC on sale for around $115. It's a range toy. |

SSA-E. The only problem is that once you shoot one, you'll be buying more.

I really like the wide face of the Larue MBT-2S. With the drop to $199 it's a great option. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll have it at the range with my SD-C and S2S to spend some time comparing them while I'm actually putting rounds down range.

I only recommend products I have first hand experience with that work well. I have one POF trigger, three Timneys, and a bunch of Geisseles ranging from G2S to SSA to SSA-E. I have exactly one standard "mil-spec" trigger group that came in my Colt 6920. Everything else is expensive aftermarket. I don't even buy LPKs anymore; I just source the exact small parts I want so I don't end up with stuff I won't use.
I bought all of my triggers. No one has given me one for free. The POF was the one that sold me on the idea of spending money on good triggers. It's a Timney style, so I ended up buying Timneys in the beginning until I got to play with a Geissele. I was a convert as soon as I got my hands on one. I prefer a 2-stage trigger and something that is user serviceable if necessary. Geissele gives me that where Timney doesn't. I have yet to handle anything that gives me something better than my Geisseles do. The Geisseles offer me consistently reliable and crisp performance. I'm sure I could probably be convinced to purchase something else, but there would have to be a reason to depart from what I know works. I won't get rid of the POF or Timney triggers until they break, but I won't be buying anymore. |

For precision work it's plenty light for anything short of setting national records (never been there so don't know). I've never tried one but would not be afraid of getting a LaRue MBT at all based on LaRue's rep. Can't go wrong. |

The worst part about buying an SSA-E is having to buy more SSA-Es.

SSA-E is an excellent trigger. I can recommend.
The single stage CMC is a different animal altogether. I like it as well, but I've got them on a couple range blasters. Had them for years, never a problem. |

Only trigger I've actually seen break is a chip McCormick.
I'd trust my life with a geissele, never tried a larue though. |

PA has the SSA-E for $196 shipped, I'll probably just buy it from them. They've always taken good care of me. |

Geissele High-Speed/National Match is like sex at your fingertip
That said, the next one I do will have LaRue fire control. I've heard nothing but outstanding reports about them |
|

Geissele would be my choice since I have 6 guns that have them. They are the only "aftermarket" trigger that the .mil uses as far as I know.
I'm sure the LaRue trigger is a great trigger also but I have never shot one. I would have bought one when they were on sale but I missed them. |

primary arms has SSA-E on sale right now, don't know the price of the top of my head
edit: $192 at primary arms with ~ $4 shipping to my door so cheaper than trading places |
