You've got to be kidding me. Bush would be lambasted for "Abandoning those poor Iraqis who we promised freedom to"
Stay the course, finish the fucking job.
While each American's death is a great loss to our nation, we are seriously kicking ass over there for the price that is being paid. Pulling out just tells the rest of the world that we run away when things get tough.
FUCK THAT SHIT!

If he knew it would cost him the Presidency, George W. Bush has, I think and devoutly hope, enough character to finish the job!
And that's part of the reason that he is the right man for the job at this moment in history!
Now, we all wish that he would win and that in the next term he would go after terrorism on a far more aggressive and decisive manner.
History teaches us, however, that even widely popular Presidents are remarkably 'unsuccessful' in their second terms. Look at the second term legacies of both President Reagan and Clinton.
They are, after all, lame ducks. Everyone knows there will be no more campaigns and the focus will soon shift to the next in line in both parties.
So, IMHO, if President Bush really wants to energize his base, convert the Independents, and win in a landslide, he needs to spend the rest of this election season ramping up NOW what we all hope he would do later.
The economy will NOT be an issue in November, it appears, but the War on Terrorism, as defined by the events in Iraq, will be THE issue that will either win or lose this next election.
And, for the President, it is a winning hand IF PLAYED CORRECTLY!
No more pussy-footing around, George! You'll not win one single anti-War voter over to your side by dilly-dallying around on this War!
But you might lose a whole lot of your base....or at least not energize them sufficiently to be active and cheerleading for you.
