Ingram MAC-10 a few years ago with 5 mags for $450. Been kicking myself ever since. Colt preban ar15 with Trijicon TA-11 in 98% cond for $1800. Just didn't have the money. The real bad ones: The day of the '94 ban I was in a gun shop and could've got M1 for $600, HK91 for $999, etc. Should've maxed out my fucking credit card then and there but I was in med school and didn't have much cash. There have been plenty of others and will be in the future I expect.

I should have bought more lowers when they were $38 and a kit went for $185. Would have had a lot more prebans for as whole $223 investment.

Tons in the '80s. More recently, '97- German PPK in .32 for 300bucks '98- Dragunov Tigr for $799, didn't do it cause I would have had to put it on a credit card and just got out of debt. '99- STG-58, tons of others I didn't have cash for before the ban.

This was a "personal" hurt, while most of you won't think it a big deal. In 1999, a S&W Model 19-3 blued with the 2.25" barrel. Was used (of course) but looked like new inside the barrel and out. I walked out on the deal over a $15 gap between me and the dealer for a total price of $230. I went back the next day to buy it (what's the big deal over $15?!?!?) and it was gone. I had been looking for one of these in good condition for several years, and I still haven't seen one since (that is, for a fair price). Ouch.

Several years ago - a full auto transferable MG42 for $4700. Now you're lucky if you can find one for under $18,000.

It must have been in '83 or early '84. Saw a NIB M16a2---$1500. Right beside it was a Stg 44 and a MG 42. I don't remember the price on them. This was in the days before I had plastic...so I didn't sweat it. Besides, who would want to spend that kind of money on a gun? Well, me of course, now. [whacko]

A pair of Styr Augs at only 1000 a piece from this shop by my house. My only prob was I was only 17 at the time, maybe had 3 months or so left. Had the money locked up in stocks and bonds as a college fund, but i couldnt convince my Dad to buy it for me. He didnt seem to see them as an investment. The real big kicker was this was only 3-4 years ago when they were going for around 1500. So not only 500 off but soon after the prices starting skyrocketing. I dont kick myself to much but I do kick my Dad.
