The Beretta AR70/90 30rd magizine will fit and  function in an AR15/M16 rifle. The Beretta AR70/90 mag body is made out of steel not aluminium.

A related question....Will a M16 mag work in an AR70?  Still kicking myself for not buying one back in 94 for $600.  Sweet rifle.
