He stole the show. You could tell he was having a blast playing the game show host.

So what happens when Ben Richards and that Mexican chick walk outside of the tv studio?

Did the whole country all of a sudden start revolting?

Or were they machine gunned as soon as they stepped outside?

Meh what ever, love that movie

Now I could get behind this! Spacey would do a wonderful job of it.

But after reading the book I would like the remake to follow it more closely.

Some people claim commando to be his best 80's movie. I say Nay. It is Running Man.
Link Posted: 4/20/2016 3:58:22 AM EDT
Wasn't it based on a book by Stephen King? I always thought that was strange.

It's like someone explained the book to the screen writer, while he was really high and he wrote the screenplay from memory the next day.

Other than the title, they really don't have anything in common. There is definitely no humor in the book.

On a related note, how the hell is it that The Long Walk never got made into a movie. It would've been perfect for those low budget, straight to USA, King adaptations from the 90s.

Yes. The Running Man by Richard Bachman. A pseudonym King used for a while.

Not sure why you think they were reflective of general society at the time other than their hair styles.....

It was the 1980s... it probably happened exactly that way!
