They are an embarrasment to the US military for several reasons. Not only did they humiliate prisoners, apparently for sport. Now the Army is saying these two had an affair in Iraq, and she got pregnant.



From their boot camp training, and specialized MP training, they should know how to treat prisoners. From my Marine boot camp training. i recall that the basic theory that the US Military went by was that by treating prisoners humanely you made the enemy less likely to fight to the death and more likely to surrendor. It also gave the enemy reason to treat our own prisoners better. Additionally, we allways try to maintain the moral high ground in any conflict.

I read yesterday that she was married to another guy in her unit - maybe it's him.

Either way, at least they'll have some smart, good-lookin kids.

Pregnant soldiers don't deploy and if the somehow get pregnant while deployed they are sent home, and probably face some minor UCMJ.

Tater, she got knocked up over there and they sent her home, she is currently residing at Ft. Bragg for her Court-Martial.  I bet getting knocked up (violating orders)  is going to be added to the list of charges!  She gets to see a new prison soon, only this one is in Kansas and she is going to be an inmate!

I wonder if she intentionally got pregnant in hopes of trying to get a leaner sentance!

She was acting upon the best information available at the time against those who hate our freedoms. The soldiers facing possible court martial were doing nothing different than goes on at skull & bones meetings or other fraternity hazings in this country. These soldiers who get shot at every day must be allowed to blow of steam and a few incidents of forced copulation or sodomy of prisoners is a small price to pay to keep this country free from the threat of terrorism.

I believe that she will not get legal counsel until she has been charged with an offense that will result in a courts-martial. Until then, it's an administrative investigation and she will have no representation. That's the way I understand it works.

It is clear that the report was written by DU. This whole incident is an attempt at the democrats and DU to get people not to support the troops. From the looks of it here, they are succeeding.

Ya know what, when I was a guard MP on a year's call up to do LE work on a base I let it be known that I would despise anyone who beat someone in handcuffs. No one I liked (and/or liked me) did so. The ones that did I held in low regard.

I hold those two in low regard. That being said: 1) they were picking on people who had some bad times coming; and 2) they were asked to soften the people up by MIs; and 3) they had no leadership, from the Iraq level down to their platoon (per the 15-5 report).

During my year as a (drafted) guard MP on active LE duty, we proudly busted all wives screwing around on their husbands. We had mostly been in the real military, and we wanted to do the right thing.

Then there was the time that a wife filed charges on hubby for hitting her, and in the course of taking her follow-up statment she admitted that during the argument she she yelled at him "do you want to fuck me in the ass faggot?", so I amended the incident report (and thus the blotter) to show both as accused, her for soliciting anal sex in violation of some specification of the MCM (and there is a specific MP report offence code, no kidding, for enlisted to enlisted solicitation of anal sex).
