DeNiro, Pacino, Duvall and Brando in one of the most violent and dramatic sagas ever put to film. Whats not to love?

Who agrees?

No, they're good movies, but they aren't the best.  Lawrence of Arabia, for example, is a better movie than The Godfather,

No, it was a great movie.  The Godfather is good, but I honestly dont know why people get all worked up over it.

No way. Good movies. Even great. Bu not the best of all time. That honor is saved for Beaches.

I don't think I could pick a single best ever. Heat rocked. Star Wars Episode V rocked. Full Metal Jacket rocked. But to pick ONE... too hard.

If I had to pick a movie or movie series for best of all time, I would say The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

IMO the sheer magnitude of work that went into as far as production, music, cinematography, imagination, and story, its hard to beat.

Tremendous attention to detail and realism, fantastic battle scenes (Helms Deep, and later the Battle of Minas Tirith) that realy got the heart pounding. If they didn't make you want to grab a sword and go kill some orcs and Uruk 'Hai...

When Faramir and his mounted unit charge to their death on the orders of Denethor, and all you here is the song....man, what a sad part.

Yeah, I love The Godfather movies (I even like Pt III), and there are many great movies...but I stick with LOTR trilogy (extended versions) as the greatest movie making masterpiece ever made, possibly ever to be made.....

Speaking of gay porn.
That was gay hobbit porn.
Especially #3.
I dare you to watch the ROTK while thinking gay hobbit porn.  You'll never see it the same again.

Oh, harsh! Yeah, ok...the Frodo Sam stuff seemed a little hinkey....but all the best parts were the humans fighting....Rohan, Helms Deep, Minas Tirith, the Black Gate.....

But I stand by my call despite your calls of gay porn! For the sheer depth of story, character, world...LOTR Trilogy is impossible to beat in my book...

Hmmm, there were times I wanted to cuddle with Frodo too.... HEY, did I say that out loud?

Godfather is tough to top.
The music, cinematogrphy (sp?), story, acting all tough to beat.  Good gun action to boot (OK, sonny took too long to die, but besides that)
Lawrence of Arabia was one step short of gay porn.  Ending sucked, too.

Stop smoking crack. It can't be good for your career. The additional thing about LOA is it's true, that happened, he was a real man.
