I'm a minimalist when it comes to jewelry. Simple and nice gold band wedding ring. I carry my smart-phone in my pocket. I like having good looking but functional watches. I've got a Timex Ironman Digital for work. Got a couple of old-school analog watches for the weekends. As much a I like how they look, I miss the functionality of my ever-abused digital.

So, I need some suggestions.

Must Have:

-All digital display. (no combo w/analog)
-Big digits for the time.
-Show the date and day of the week.
-Multiple alarms.
-Countdown timer and stopwatch.
-Water/chemical resistance prefered.

I'm looking for elegant simplicity and I don't want to spend more than $150. I've been looking at a Casio Waveceptor with the stainless steel band. (model wv300da-7b)

What else is there?

I think the G-Shocks are pretty classic. Some versions of this one has multiple alarms.

In general "sharp looking" and "digital display" are mutually exclusive terms.

My main complaint about G-Shocks is the lack of countdown timer.

I don't know of any G without one. Many do max out at 60min but its there. The one I posted is a 24 countdown (as well as 24hr stopwatch)

Sharp-looking digital? Does not compute. Wear your analogs (preferably with a metal bracelet) for looking sharp, and your digitals for utilitarian use. I've got a Timex Ironman that cost $50 from Costco, with a heart-rate monitor, and which has survived deep pools and org chem lab.

Too bad its not digital ... it's really sharp looking.

Haha, I can guarantee I was the only one on the football or baseball team wearing a calculator watch. I rocked that thing everywhere. Everyone was jealous come test time.

Back on topic, check out the Casio Edifice line. Here's one I found that looks pretty good for an all digital display...

Casio Edifice EFD-1000D-1VDF

I have this combo Edifice below and I just keep liking it more everyday.

Casio Edifice EFA-120D-1AVDF

Maybe I should have been more specific, I haven't found an atomic solar with it.

I expect it does, but following and learning the directions to get it to work is probably a real pita

You will NEVER get women with a digital watch.

The only good looking "digital" watches are vintage jump hour digitals, like this one from Bulova:

It is of course, a real automatic movement, not a 10¢ throw-away digital POS in a chinese case. Mechanical versions were also made.

Several types and styles of jump hour watches were made, and are not impossible to find in good working condition.

Once again for those that can't seem to figure this out - the G-Shock Solar Atomic with the Module Numbers of 2608, 2638, and 2688 do NOT have a countdown timer.
