As the title states I'm in need of a 300WM SA rifle.

It looks like POF-USA is about to release one- Link

Also Nemo Arms has one-  Link

Anyone have experience with either manufacturer? Pro/cons?

I shot alongside a guy with the Nemo in a long range match.

It seemed like a pretty accurate rifle that ran well.

That's all I gots.

Try RND manufacturing...not sure they do 300 win but they do 300 RUM so might be as simple as asking..there stuff is supposed to be top notch...I know they are known for building competition semi's as well......

ETA: Yep, they do a 300Win as well....

The Omen Watchman 2.0 is capable of under 3" groups at 800 yards.
NEMO is currently working on a line of ammunition geared specifically for their rifles, and it should be available any time.
They shoot beautifully and the proprietary bolt carrier and recoil system softens up the 300WM like you would not believe.

ASP.

It's sub-MOA in the hands of an experienced shooter who has excellent eyesight and is using match grade ammo.

I have a Night Force BEAST mounted on mine and can get 3.5" groups at 200 yards with match ammo if I try really hard and it's not windy.

I'm sure someone who is a much better shot than my blind ass can do much better.

I saw one at the range(300RUM) a few years back, the guy said he was in it 6K for rifle and a half dozen mags, delivered..more now I am sure, but from what reading I have done and a thread in the variants forum on here it sounds like from guys that have owned them they build very nice stuff...

I was just a few days away from dismantling my 6.5-284 so I could use the action to build a 300WM bolt gun. I had an epiphany today decided that I wanted a semi-auto so I could piss off the bolt gun guys I shoot with.

Edit- also I want a semi-auto because we are building a shooting tower that covers the bottom area of the place we shoot/hunt on. The plan is to bait and shoot hogs at extended ranges.

There are hungry children in Asia who don't even have one gun, and you have like a thousand. Sally Struthers cries because of selfish people like you, mostly because you ate her doughnut, but partly because of the children, and their lack of quality, precision firearms.

Sorry but "follow up" shots with a .300 WM semi won't be much faster than a bolt gun.

5.56, 6.5, 6.8 allow fast follow up shots.

I don't have experience with the giant chamberings, but I do have a POF P415.  Phenomenal rifle, great action, easy to clean.  I wouldn't want a DI .300--can't imagine the heat and fouling build up.

I do love my 415, though.

I've done a fair amount of shooting in my time. Semi auto is always faster than a bolt action regardless of caliber, this coming from a guy that's owned numerous Barrett's in semi auto and bolt action.

OP, may I suggest that you'll pretty quickly want to go with a .338 semi auto anyway, so you might as well get the one from Alexander Arms from the beginning?

It's an amazing shooter.  I don't own one but was lucky enough to put some rounds through one and watched a really good shooter do some amazing things with it.

We are real close to the NEMO crew, and most of us at the shop have OMENs.

They are fantastic folks, who truly are in this to improve the rifle, and support the customer. Clint Walker was with NEMO, left there, and started making the Si-DEFENSE/FALKOR versions of the OMEN, I know little about them though.

I have a RECON that was built a little different for me. These guns with a GEMTECH ARROW are truly hearing safe setups! I love mine!

I have ... a BAR in .300winmag with a BOSS system.  Shoots soft and smooth, well made and dependable.  The magazine system sucks, it ain't no tack driver, and the muzzle blast is other worldly.
