Mild steel? Spring steel? Tool steel? Stainless steel?
Rage to shoot? Load? Bullet weight/composition? Velocity? Not that I know the difference, but someone who can answer your question is gonna want to know. |

mild steel. 350gr sp not sure on the Velocity think it is 1900 to 2000fps. shooting 100 to 200yards

I believe that instead of spending your funds to further the training in weapons of mass destruction, your money would be better utilized in bringing about world peace and harmony.

You said "swing" target so I don't think it will penetrate but I think it will bend the target pretty bad.

I know my Garand and SKS made holes in mine, not as thick, but made for handguns only. Hopefully, yours swing from the top, so bullets are deflected downwards. I made up a few for myself and some friends, next thing ya know, everyone wanted them! Experiment with thicknesses, I think most any rifle will mutilate any thickness, in time.

i have some home made 1/2 swing targets also. We where firing at them with 30/30..no problems. A .270 bolt action almost went through them. We were shooting at about 75yards if I remember correctly. I made some more 1/2 and 3/4 inch to play with. I need to get another target frame welded together before next az shoot.
