I really wish my '55 was done so I can get back to buying guns. I've spent 3 years on this thing so far, and sold off about $10,000 worth of guns in that time. now I'm ready to finish the darned thing and get back to a normal life, this thing is very time consuming. 55 bel air 355ci 450 horse small block muncie 4 speed centerforce dual friction clutch 12 bolt rear end 5.38 gear polygraphite bushings power breaks power steering tilt wheel 3 inch droped all the way around lets stop there and say if they make it I've got it. this is a brand new car and my wife resents it. I LOVE IT LETS SEE YOURS

Nice rides, YardDog, but I just wish my garage was that big. I've got a '67 390 Mustang and a 428 block & crank waiting to be assembled. Four more years, or thereabouts. (I'm still buying guns.) [sniper]

Oh, I hear ya Striker, The best part is wrenching with the five year old, I've got a five year old boy also, I've also got two older girls one 12 and one 17, the 12 year old could care less, but the 17 year old wants to drive them. It's one way to get them to mow the lawn and do the other household chores that I'm too lazy to do. They never were as interested as the son, I guess it comes natural for boys Aint no such thing as an ugly car if its over 20 years old. after that they just keep gettin better

Garry, I started with a hard top but when I got the frame and mechanicals done I ran across this body, Great Texas car, just needed a quarter panel KBaker, I also wish my garage was that big. that is at the body shop for paint. the only work I did'nt do myself I have a three car garage out back. got it after the wife got tired of parking in the snow. she wanted her garage back which is ok because if I throw a screwdriver on the floor I know its gonna be there when I need it the wife and kids wont go in there BMB, yea dont we all wish we still had the good ones My wife has some reletives down south that have every car they have ever owned parked in their yard

I had a 69 SS-396/375, 4sp M22 rockcrusher, bought it when I got out of the service to replace the 63SS 409/425, 2x4bbl, that I had to sell when I went into the Army. The 63 had so much power that I could pull away from a stop in 4th gear without lugging the engine. Don't make them like they use to anymore. Ron

BigBear, It's a 69, 'bout the only way I can tell the 68's & 69's apart is that the 68's had a vent window in the door 69's do not I've got some hipo parts for it but it only has 49,980 miles on it and still a little reluctant to start messing with it. It's gonna hurt when it turns 50,00 miles TacCar, Hey aint nothing wrong with Fords, well maybe one ford my first car was a PINTO (dont laugh) Ron, I've got a friend building a 409, sure would like to DRIVE one of those My chevelle is only a 325 horse turbo 400 car Great hiway car, very good gas mileage ms70, I dont have him
