Has anyone heard whether or not Sigarms will tool up to make new standard capacity mags for their pistols?

I.e. 20 rd SWAT mags for 226?

Also anything from the HK side? new mags, 18 rd 9mm expert USP mags?

just curious as to what you've heard regarding certain companies.

No one knows just yet, it's too early to tell. Even the mfgrs aren't saying, other than Armalite.

For an alternative to the swat mags...

Using a 10rd mag follower in a normal 15rd mag will effect a +2 increase in capacity.

The catch is that sig charges alot for the followers and even more for shipping and handling.

I'm hoping HK makes a civilian version of the XM-8!

Seriously though, I wouldn't mind owning an HK-M4. There was some speculation (Internet rumors), that they would be available to the public. Last offical statement I read on the HK website was that they hadn't decided yet.

I'm pretty sure SIG will be moving full speed ahead. IIRC, a SIG employee on another board said dealers are being sent coupons to dispense with new purchases - something like 1 standard cap for $15 or 2/$20 along with a new hat. Their online store will be selling standards as well, but at full MSRP.

HK people take a look at www.gunbroker.com. There are 15-round 9mm USPF, 18-round 9mm USPF, and 12-round .45ACP USPF magazines available - among other no-ban goodies.

I just bought quantity 5 12-round USPF .45 ACP magazines myself for $140!
