I guess I'm the first to say I thought it was stupid. Very stupid.

It made me dumber. Before watching it I knew all my rifle serial numbers by heart, and now that's gone along with some math skills.

You're probably right.

And the movie does grow on you... I thought it was dumb the first time I watched it, and then I caught myself quoting it all the time.  My friends and I were talking about this yesterday; it's more fun to quote it than to watch it.

I can see how people might be slightly amused at the strange and goofy way they say things in that movie, but hilarious?  Such an overrated movie.  The way people talked about it on the internet I thought I was going to laugh my ass off.  The audience was mostly teenage kids, which struck me as odd for an independent movie (then I saw the MTV Films logo, which explained it). I was just kind of embarrassed because I dragged a friend along to see such an unfunny and dumb movie. The kids seemed to love it though.

The dancing part was pretty funny though.
