and it's time to get rid of some stuff. Should I ditch the 6.5Grendel, the 6.5 Creedmore, or the 9mm Spectre?
|
|
Sell the 6.5 Grendel and the 9mm Spectre.
Buy an MP5K or CZ Scorpion with the profits. |
|
I'd ditch the 6.5 Creedmore.
But I need pics of them to know for sure |
|
I'd sell one or both of the 6.5s...
But yeah, pics. Eta: I went on a caliber purge a few years ago... no regrets. |

dont sell, only buy. View Quote Eh, I'm selling an AR today. It serves no purpose any more and I have lots more that I actually shoot. Living under the bed because the safe is full is no way for a rifle to exist. It will go to a good kid who will shoot it and enjoy it and I can put the cash towards my next un-needed gun project. |

Second, what is the 6.5CM? you already have 80% of the capability of the CM in the Grendel, so a lot of redundancy. I say that with two Grendels and two Creedmoors... The Spectre is cool, not sure I'd want to sell that. And I'm a big long range shooting fan (never do it, don't think I've ever shot more than a 50 yard indoor lane in my life, but it seems fun). But I might put the CM on the block. |

IDK I've bought MANY guns that just didn't impress me, had reliability issues or I just didn't like to shoot and I just dump them and go in search of something I'd actually enjoy. |

I need a 6.5 in my life.<img src=http://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/icon_smile_kisses.gif border=0 align=middle> I'd rather liquidate the 5.56SBR upper and switch over to 5.7 if I could make it work. View Quote That's the spirit. 5.7 is the future. I got rid of everything that isn't 5.7 or a shotgun. Commonality of ammo between the FN PS90 and the FiveSeven is the main reason. I use the shotgun for home defense. A full mag of #7 shot will cause any intruder or rapers to think twice. |

reorganize gun room and find space without selling is what i do ;)

I doubt it's a good market to offload a gun. Put it away and remember it when we have the next panic hits.
(And there WILL be another panic) |

I'm only considering it since I can't get a FA MP7 But the line up would be 5.7SBR, 6.5G SBR, 6.5C bolt gun. |

I have to many.
I just purchased parts today to build another one. |

dont sell, only buy. View Quote this is the worst advice it makes no sense on any level. there is no logic behind it. why would you keep a valuable item that you don't want anymore? every kind of collector will cash out part of a collection to buy new and hopefully better stuff. the only guns you shouldn't sell are the basic food groups like a pump shotgun. you sell that and you'll just end up getting another one. and you shouldn't sell keepsake guns like your granddads war luger aside from that, there's no good reason to keep a gun you don't want. |

You are sick, OP. Take a knee, take a rest, think happy thoughts. This temporary illness will pass.

I know nothing of the ones mentioned other than the SBR. Sell till it hurts.
As to the peeps that say "never sell"....Well....They are full of shit. I bought a rifle the other day just for the scope. I pulled off the 3X Leupold and traded the rifle for a revolver. I did not give two shits about the rifle but that scope is rare and I wanted the revolver. Hell, I buy guns with "issues" and just part them out. They are just "stuff" to me and when the "stuff" is worth more as parts then that is what happens to it. And no, I don't feel bad. The way I see it is I make $$$ to "enhance my collection" and someone else gets their gun up to snuff. |

I had too many and gave two away to young friends of mine last month. Paying it forward.

Why is 5.56 SBR an option here, who would sell that? I bet you don't even have a get home bag.
