[ARCHIVED THREAD] - I just got stopped by the police....

I had to go run a few errands. On my way to the bank, this woman pulls out right in front of me, hit the brakes, schreeching tires, came real close to hit. Of cousrs I let out the obligatory 'Stupid Bitch" (only inside my truck, I did not holler out. but if you can read lips little doubt as to what I said).

I'm behind her. She pulls into a shopping center the same one. I'm going to. I got to the next entrance. I end up right behind her again as she is pulling into the same bank as mine. Were I'm heading. She pulls up to the teller window, I pull up to the ATM. Get my money and on to the postoffice.

Get to the postoffice take care of business. Heading back to the house. I see a cop pull out behind me. He catches up to me. I see him using his radio. The blue lights come on.

I pull over to the side. I have my wallet out getting ready for the "papers please". Wondering what I've done. Well it turns out this bitch called me in saying I was tailgating her, honking my horn , flipping her the bird and was following her. She was scared etc. I never did any of those.

So Mr. Popo and I have a chat. I showed him my bank receipt, my post officer receipt and explained the situation to him. He hands me back my DL I put it in my wallet and my shirt opens and shows I'm CCW. He asks about it and I tell him I have a permit.

He tells me to carry on and have a nice day.

Get real. Even if it was under his state law, no investigation was launched, nothing but her story to go on, nor was he "detained." And the courts have better cases to plea out and dismiss than trivial bullshit like this.

Most agencies wouldnt have wasted their time on the call.

Really, since it is against the law to do most anything, I would assume causing the cops to go on a wild goose chase would be illegal......you know kinda like calling 911 and reporting a fire at an address where there is no fire.

Not in this state. But I was not even thinking about my CCW. The last time I was stopped I knew I was speeding and expected to be stopped. When the Trooper asked for my papers I told him they were in the glove box under a pistol. He just asked for the papers, gave me a written warning and sent me on my way. Did not even ask for my permit or mentioned it.
