I had made two posts, both about gun control, in a thread that had been there seven months, so they deleted the thread and banned me.

Just once, I wish somebody would call me "Sir" without adding "you're making a scene". [:D]

I explained that the gun control people cared nothing for education, by their own admission (I can't find it now, but I posted about it just the other day).  They only wanted to regulate, restrict and ban.  I then carefully and logically deconstructed their argument against education, and asked "If education doesn't work, why do we send every kid through 12 years of it?"
I was welcomed by one of the members, who was impressed by my points.  The administrator, El Sub Kommandante, is antigun.  I managed to catch his attention.  It probably didn't help that I posted a hotlink to there from here.  Oops! LOL
I rebutted the cars/guns arguement by saying that they both should be treated simply like machinery which had the potential for both good and bad.  More in depth training would probably reduce accidents to near zero.  The "design purpose" arguement was somewhat specious, because millions of guns had been built, and only a tiny fraction of them had ever taken a life.  In addition, there were an estimated 2 million DGUs per year, as determined by phone polls and some other methods which escape me at the moment.
Anyway, I throughly trashed the gun control arguments, so they trashed my membership [BD]
