Yes, I went ahead and joined after thinking it over for a while so hopefully one more person can make a difference. I only signed up for a year so if I like it I'll stay and if not, I'll go. I figured the only thing I have to lose is more rights so I'm putting my money where my mouth is so to speak and joining the fight.

Congrats and thank you. There is an estimated 80 million gun owners in the US. There should be 80 mil NRA members. Some may not be happy with them, but without them we would be in trouble.

I'm life member, welcome to the NRA.

+1

Currently there are roughly 1 million members. Imagine how much we could accomplish with the support of even 10% of the gunowners, in other words 10 million members.

Great, now buy a family member or friend a gift membership so they can be counted as well. I got my dad and brother started off that way.

I sincerely believe that if there were 10-15 million members in the NRA or some other firearm orginization and we all worked together as a cohesive unit, we could get a lot of our rights back. Numbers do speak volumes when it comes to politics and that's why I joined.

I just joined as well. Feels good, doesn't it?

Congrats! Politician's DO look at group registries to see who will support them and who won't. You just made some fence sitter think again of supporting gun control in the next term. Now buy your best gun buddy a membership with a different magazine!

Life member here. Always thought it silly to own a gun and not be a member. I'd love it if the NRA was 80 million strong.

You have done a good thing as I and many others here have. However if you are not a hunter or sporting clays shooter don't expect to much representation. They are still in the "Blued steel and cherrywood only" mode. I would encourage you to also join the GOA.

If there were 80 million members, there would be NO issue of the second amendment hanging in the balance... Politicians would be too scared to touch the issue

Life Member here, saying Thank You!!!

Welcome - As a life member I say thanks, and encourage others to join - If we can get 8 million members (10% of U.S. gun owners) we will be able to move mountains!

Life member as well, I welcome you.

One more person does make a difference, we know what is right, currently we need a catalyst to help express our views.
