This sceanrio definitely illicits an emotional response. If this link is a CC violation, I don't mind it being removed.

The first quote or the 2nd?

I think the 2nd quote means that from time to time, good men must die to remind outselves of our freedom, ie not to take freedom for granted.

It would work…it appears to have been very well thought out and considered. Whoever wrote this clearly had enough knowledge to work out how to use the various atrocities to push all the buttons… Police, transportation, IRS, Waco… yep he has worked out all the incidents needed to stir up all the Survivalists, tin foilers and far right wingers into action… more importatntly, he has considered a progressive ratcheting up of the violence so as to keep the public and authorities off balance.

these acts would require the Government to react against people who almost certainly had nothing to do with the attacks. This would then start them off retaliating as they would consider themselves under attack by the Government.

I would imagine after the first two weks he and his small band could just sit back and watch everybody else carrying it on without them.

If that started happening you would have a 'meltdown' in three weeks…

"A Few Good Men"?

i don't see anything good in that. i don't see any good men destroying the physical infrastructure we all paid for and rely on for making our livings.
granted there are a few bureaucrats that need to be unelected or fired - but when some one starts blowing up things and poisoning things in a way that kills innocents, they aren't a few good men. maybe he meant good as in "good at what they do", not as in morally good.

funny how it was the islamic extremists who started the ball rolling but quickly switched to indigenous "freedom loving" groups doing a lot of damage and claiming credit.

like ETH, suprised we have not already seen some of this - probably will in some fashion. better to learn to be somewhat self sufficient and able to get along. those who are helpless without power and the latest technology (aside from those who need it medically to survive) will be lost for awhile - until they wise up.

I think this is the 'clever' bit of this 'plan'. Almost certainly it would have nothing to do with the Arabs or anybody else… you just carry out the attack and claim that it was carried out by whatever group you choose to make up… it's classic SOF tactics, assassinate or bomb and claim a local group was behind it. The group does not exist but the Government will round up people it 'thinks' are in this group. Smoke and Mirrors of the best kind.

Terrorists are terrorists no matter where they were born.

If I were able to predict any one of the scenario's outlined in this trash someone (domestic terrorist) is going to catch a 223 round between their eyes.

That is disgusting.

Whoever wrote that is pathetic. DId you notice that in each instance whoever was arrested was never convicted, or even tried in court??

What a bunch of bullshit. I hate people who write shit like this. I hate the fact that they live in America.

Thank god for assholes like the guy who wrote that piece. We can't appreciate enough the free inspiration their demented ramblings give to actual terrorists. I feel sick after reading his webpage.

In this case, they apparently don't....it's from a UK website.

Pretty sick stuff.....he conveniently forgets to mention about the anarchy that would rule afterwards. And with all of the terrorist groups operating in his scenario, I sincerely doubt they would ever agree on any form of government necessary to operate the infrastructure.

Or the good citizens would turn 'em in, and they'd all be dead or wearing orange on the evening news...

Most of us LIKE our government more than the future that sort of thing would create...

Especially since a 'meltdown' generally turns into a dictatorship, and for all the Fed's faults, rule by Sir Tinfoler The Great would be far worse...

But wait... It should be YOUR govt he's talking about, as it's run from YOUR side of the pond...

Never happen. Internet fantasy written by someone who wouldn't have the balls to stop and help and elderly person change a tire after dark - much less have the ability or opportunity to sexually mutilate a US Marshal.

Glad to see it's not a CoC violation and that we can discuss it - but - this kind of tripe makes gun owners look bad.

retaliating? against the murdering terrorists...yes.

do you remember a guy named tim mcveigh? most of us do not think any more of him than lon horiuchi. a criminal is a criminal, regardless of the patch on his uniform.

I would imagine after the first two weks he and his small band could just sit back and watch everybody else carrying it on without them.

that is the wet dream of overweight, toothless militia commandos practicing 'rebellion drills' in the deep woods with their sks and makarov. in reality, the clumsy oafs would be behind bars in a matter of months. like eric rudolph, they would hide from the light of day and eat out of trash dumpsters.

If that started happening you would have a 'meltdown' in three weeks?

america has weathered several rounds with the anarchists in two centuries...one even killed one of our presidents, william mckinley.

we have survived the communists and socialists. for decades.

we have survived the students for a democratic society. the weather underground. the black panthers. the symbionese liberation army. the aryan nation. white sumpremicists and separatists. and a host of 'organizations' hell bent on wrecking havoc upon our country.

we survived rebellion from england and that nasty little tif in 1812 in which you sacked and burned our capitol.

hell...we even survived a civil war in which we tried to anihilate ourselves.

rest assured, andy...we WILL survive any paranoid scenario cut and pasted in a lightly edited form from "unintended consequences".

Now that is very well thoughtout and well said Campy!

I certainly hope your right!… but you have to agree, this scenario relies more on percieved fear than actual action… look at how the public reacted after flight 587 went down on November 12… fear, real deep fear. To this day many believe that the Government deemed it an 'accident' to protect the publics moral

Terrorists now can use just fear itself after 9/11, we have seen how far they 'can' ratchet up the violence, so even a small attack can cause a major panic. If somebody walked into a bus depot in a major city and dropped a 1lb C4 nailbomb into a trash can and walked away it would kill maybe a handful of people but the whole bus network nationwide would freeze instantly even without a phone call saying there were more. It's asymetric warfare at it's most deadly… fortunately we have been able to stop it happening… so far.

I do not, in any way, support the article, or whatever it is.

But folks, consider that our nations Founding Fathers were also "terrorists, anarchists, etc"

Many people think the U.S. Gov't is tyrannical, Timothy McVeigh for example.

Most rational folks would hold that a Gov't cannot be tyrannical as long as the popluation is armed.

I submit, that if a person is motivated to actually commit an act of violence against their Gov't, then to them, the Gov't has become as such. Now, as Mr. McVeigh learned, if you are gonna rise up against a Government, you better win. Otherwise, they will.

Turn who in precisely? the groups do not exist… it's smoke and mirrors.

Most of us LIKE our government more than the future that sort of thing would create...

Yes, I agree 100%

Especially since a 'meltdown' generally turns into a dictatorship, and for all the Fed's faults, rule by Sir Tinfoler The Great would be far worse...

But wait... It should be YOUR govt he's talking about, as it's run from YOUR side of the pond...

The scenario is just a valid in any western democracy… and yes our Government has long considered this sort of scenario… COBRA Committee is there to deal with it, as are vey wide ranging emergency powers that amount to Martial Law on demand should something like this happen

I was merely pointing out, as someone who has lived with actual terroism via the IRA for 30+ years, that this sort of action can be very effective… the history of the troubles in Northern Ireland showed that the 'fear' of bombs on the mainland far outweighed the likelyhood of them happening, yet when they did they had a fear factor far outweighing their actual effect But we still do not have any trash cans in Stations or airports 25 years later… 'just incase'

BTW… his site, if you look closely is very pro gun, and the article has clearly originated in the US @ 1997… probably from a far right website.

How hard was it to find it?

I had to order it from the States via Amazon, it was not available over here. It was out of stock and just arrived yesterday… a long wait @ 7 weeks.
