Because they are closing down that facility.  I am hoping things will be, uneventful.

I saw some "High Speed" security contractors with Bushmasters in Iraq,

Think they were with the U.G.A.N.D.A. security company.

More like a business decision to reduce duplicate facilities.

I wonder if the original Bushmaster owners would have agreed to sell if they knew this was going to happen. Losing 70 more jobs in Maine will hurt.

Everyone pretty much knows whenever you flip a company that there will be changes.

They probably have a non-compete of x-number of years, so maybe when that runs out they can fire up another company and rehire the besst workers.

Sucks, but c'est la vie in the business world...

Maine likes to take from the people that work and give to the ones that don't. Its not very business friendly. many people I know are hoping that will change now that we have a new governor.

So they moved to NY?  I'd think wages and benefits would have been cheaper in ME - move the Remmington Plant to ME.

As of now, we'd tax the living hell out of any company coming in here.  That's why no biz wants to come to ME.  And they wonder why we can't get the economic ball rolling...

Bushmaster should move to Texas. Centrally located and pretty decent business atmosphere.

A good chunk of my support issues are from overseas customers; speaking to them is always interesting, especially if you read their troubled emails aloud.

Blackwater uses them, although they had the barrels replaced to have a shorter barrel.

Texas DPS uses them............ isn't the Rangers under DPS......... If it's good enough for Chuck Noriss it's damn well good enough for us!
