Been a while since I had a drink so I took a chance on this one.....I gotta say I'm hooked.

I was not impressed.

I second not impressed.

For a summer beer give Fireman's 4 a try.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:15:10 AM EDT
Lemme guess, you added fruit?
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:16:59 AM EDT
I like it for socializing and cheapness.

Oskar Blues - Mama's Little Yella Pills
Good People - Strongman / Bearded Lady / Snake Handler
Fat Tire - Amber Ale

Those are my preferences.

OP, I'm sorry but that is terrible beer. Blue moon is way better, and even then is not great.

Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:36:54 AM EDT
Yuck, dude.

Yuck.

I'm with you there. Widmer's is a better option.

You know they make good beer now

I like it, especially at a baseball game or sitting outside in the heat at a cook out.

Fucking beer hipsters.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:51:02 AM EDT
ugh
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:51:04 AM EDT
I like that stuff too OP. Don't listen to the haters, if it's not brewed in small batches at a "craft" brewery they won't like it.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:52:01 AM EDT
I like Sierra Torpedo better.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:52:21 AM EDT
It's aight. Made by AB I think, Blue Moon is better. And Blue Moon is pretty darn good.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 1:59:22 AM EDT
Uh...glad you enjoy it.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 2:01:23 AM EDT
Just fucking stop it.

Suddenly I again appreciate being stuck on the other side of the globe.

Well living in an area that has a ton of microbreweries I am still trying to find one or two I like but this stuff is good considering it's cheap.

Have you seen Fireman's 4 up there? It's a Texas pale ale. IMO it's a perfect summer beer. Very, very good.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 2:10:34 AM EDT
Budweiser beer all dressed up like a micro. Booo.

I don't consider $7.99 a sixer cheap.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 3:22:49 AM EDT

Vodka is cheaper. Appfelwein, even.

Cheaper for... what exactly?

All the vodka in the world isn't going to give me a glass of beer when I want a glass of beer.

Have you tried miller lite, the God of beers?
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 4:05:22 AM EDT
Meh. I thought we were talking coors lite type prices.

Keystone lite/ Old Mil are considered normally priced beers in my HOA(Trailer Park) .
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 4:28:08 AM EDT
Yeah, OP.

You live here. The Napa Valley of beer.

And Shock Top is your go to?

At least let it be Bluemoon for wheat/wit.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 4:30:37 AM EDT
ummm..... no, that is not a beer I can recommend

It is nice being able to go to any of my local supermarkets and buy proper ales and good lagers off the shelf. I would like to try some more American IPAs and lagers however. :)
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 7:17:48 AM EDT
That's not what I think of when I hear cheap beer.
I'm thinking a 24 pack of Yuengling or something.

founders all day IPA in cans for "cheap" beer. 15 pack is 17.99

Troll level 1 million!

Kinda liked this one. For AB it's not a bad beer.

^you can bet not a single bourbon barrel was used, just artificial flavors.

Shocktop is fraudulent craft beer so InBev can fucking dominate shelf space.

Anyone recommending BlueMoon is no better, they are owned by Coors.

Watch the movie Beer Wars & stop drinking corporate swill.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 8:56:50 AM EDT
I'll stay with Yuengling's Porter.

Coming out thread .

Shock Top is annoying. It looks good in the package, but is some of the blandest tasting shit ever.

If given a choice between Shock Top and Busch Light, I'd get the Busch Light instead.

The local Food Stamp Lions have started carrying Boulevard. Their 80 Acre and Unfiltered Wheat is decent.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 9:11:12 AM EDT
Yuengling Summer Wheat has that beat.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 9:13:31 AM EDT
I'm down at the coast, reliving the 80's.

Next up. Drive down to SC for some real fireworks.

Give Hoegaarden a try if you're a fan of wheat beer.
Link Posted: 7/4/2015 9:45:12 AM EDT
I thought OP just discovered Natural Light. I guess we define "cheap beer" differently.

Link Posted: 7/4/2015 9:49:00 AM EDT
