I have a  question, is it just me or is 50% of the reason you bring your AR15 to the local rifle range is just to show it off and brag on it?

I take mine to shoot it.

I shoot it and I like the ergonomics. I also try to keep a low profile since there are lots of Elmer Fudd types.

I try to avoid the range. RSO are too much of a pain in the ass. 1 shot per second son, Whacha need theat fer.

I like to avoid that.

It's a tool as much as it is fun to shoot. I can do both elsewhere.

It's just you.

I like to shoot and become more proficient with it.  Most of the time I go to the range there isn't anyone else around.

When I bring my Black Rifle to the range it is to Shoot it.

About half the time I shoot it on Rock & Roll.
The other half is used to perfect and maintain my already deadly accuracy with Evil Assault Black Rifles,

[start evil/wicked laughter]

brahhahahhahaha…

Of course the people who go to Camp Perry will always outshoot me.
But that’s about all.

I try to go to the range when there's nobody around.  Ever seen all those holes in the roof, post, etc?

Or I go with friends that have .50s, Garands, etc., so my little AR ain't nothing to brag about.  They do seem to like my FAL though.

when i go to the range to practice, i'm fairly unsociable. i try to get the far right lane so no one can see what i'm shooting. otherwise i just try to be as far as possible from others.

now, rec fire with buds is a whole different matter! then it's "ooh" and "ahh" time! but that's more a social event...

It's just you. Seriously, I usually go to the range on off days and odd hours to avoid prying eyes. When somebody else is there, I usually get the bay that is farther down.

I never even thought about it. I belong to a fish and game club that has a private range. A lot of the times it's only shooters sighting in their bolt action rifles for hunting season. Most of the time know one is even there. It's a 300 yard range
