I finally broke down and had a bunch of repairs done on my Infiniti, nothing engine related, just a lot of stuff that either needed to be taken care of or I had to look for another car (mirror broke off, electric antenna stuck, minor body work, a ball joint, new tires). Well all those odds and ends added up to about $ 3k, but the car was solid as a rock so I figured it was worth it.
The next week after the work was done we had an ice storm and a huge limb broke off a tree and crushed my car (and my old truck which did not have comprehensive). [:(]
160 a day in a Sunbird is AMAZING. I shared driving to Florida once in a 96 Cavalier, worst seats I have ever sat in a motorvehicle, including tractors.
Beats buying a new car and paying every month, though. I'll never get suckered into that again. I have clients who meet me at bankruptcy court all the time in $ 30k trucks [whacko]
