I'm trying to find out who made the semi version of the Sterling SMG.  I saw one on an auction sight a while backm, and now am interested in maybe getting one, but don't know who or how much.  Can anyone here help?

Sterling made a semi-auto in small numbers way back.  The Sterling Mk 6 was the company's semi-auto offering to the US civillian market.  It had a 16" bbl and fired from a closed bolt, of course.

So the answer to your question about who made the semi-auto Sterling is "Sterling".

They didn't bring too many into the states.  The factory had just completed it's last SMG contract for the Brit Army, and was looking for a way to get rid of the rest of it's parts, and keep it's produciton line open somehow so it could find other contracts.
