Not sure if any of you are members over at Glocktalk, but I gotta say this is a MUCH better group of people as far as the LEO section goes.

That's not to say the LEOs over there are bad.........it's the trolls, and the moderators that aren't doing anything about it.

The title of this thread, alone, ticks me off, big time.

"Best way to refuse a search"
http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=504201

I could paste a dozen more links that'd make your blood boil.

I hope this site never lets its LEO section turn to crap like that. Every other thread on the first page has some punk trashing cops.

To our benefit here, we have some very intelligent LEOs who enjoy pounding on cop trolls.

Don't worry, Toydeluxe.......the General Discussion board has all the cop-bashing threads you could ever want, and then some . In all seriousness, though, welcome aboard, and I'll second your observation that we've a great group of guys here. I, too, hope it continues.

Click on that link I posted above one more time, and read the last page.

Oh that guy pisses me off (DunedinDragon)

Thankfully, the thread was closed before I really exploded.

That just really erks me to think scum like that is what LEOs protect.

Long time GlockTalk member here, with 6 years 5300+ posts over there. I'm taking a break and haven't posted in over a month. Some good people, but the mods don't jump in quick enough and the stupidity quotient has gotten really high recently.

I think I'll come back when it gets better, for now ar15.com is my 'net spot (and www.gandrtactical.com/forum and a few others).

I post on both sites, and I think one of the big difference is the activity level of the mods here.
On GT the mods aren't as active on their own in the forum. They do their job if you hit the "report" button, but active monitoring isn't often, and most people either don't know how to use the report feature, or don't decide to use it.

Kudos to the active mods here

Why does that topic piss you off? Nothing wrong with citizens being educated on when and how they can assert their 4th Amendment rights, right?

Not a cop, but I think what is making their blood boil is the fact everything in the thread I read is wrong as heck.

nothing wrong at all, but I prefer adding new dents to the already concave hood of my black and white. Scum bags are scumbags.

What? I don't follow what you are saying? Are you saying anyone who would discuss issues regarding refusal to a consent to search is a scumbag?

I'm not trying to be cute BTW, I'm really trying to understand where you are coming from.

+1.... I'm not following, and I'm not trying to be an ass either.

I tell you what...............instead of starting a new pissing match about consent to search.........just skip to the last page of that thread, and read all of the posts.

DunedinDragon's attitude SUCKS, and he's a little smart-ass. Is final posts are just off the wall.

That's what really set me off.
