Too bad I was the one that did it, and with a big-ass nail gun
 Fucking nail deflected off of the 2x4 like 50 degrees, and traveled a foot before it got me. The damn nail pegged my thumb good. Thru and thru, I had to yank it out. I bled like a stuck pig. Funny thing is that it didnt hurt, at all. It wasnt an AD, a ND, more like a case of bad luck/poor hand placement  . I never knew framing sliding glass doors could get so exciting. O well, live and learn.  I kept the bloody nail as a keepsake. Yea, I know, it doesnt look bad. Sore as hell though now. |

I have had that happen a few times.
But usually I am hold to thin piece of plywood and I forgot I have the LARGE nails in the gun and my thumb behind it. Owies........... Sgat1r5 |

What model of tool was it? I knew about a guy who shot a 2 inch finish nail into his lower intestine. Screwed him up good.

I dont know what model it was. The gun is a neighbors. All I know is that the gun prob weighs 10 pounds, and is the size of a loaf of bread. Its a bad boy. |

Did it go through the bone? A puncture wound is something you should have treated professionaly. Anaerobic bacterial infections, and/or tetanus are very bad news. Good luck

No, it didnt penetrate the bone, it was a glancing blow. If its bad tmw, I am going to the doctor. I am trying to find my shot records to see if I am current on tetnus.
