Purshased a 01 Silverado on the 31 and traded in my 99 Silverado. Super outfits. I know I will here from the Ford boys but after watching tests of all at 40mph I figured I wouldn't be as dead as in Ford or Dodge. Thought about the Toyota Tundra but went in for warranty work before end of warranty and they made me a deal I couldn't refuse. As for you Ford owners pay attention. If you look at the O J Simpson chase seen. THAT WAS A HIGH SPEED CHASE. Them thar Crown Vics and that thar Bronco were at top speed.Just kidding now don't burn my house down. Have a great day.

I have a 1989 Toyota pickup, simple two wheel drive, four speed, small engine. 150,000 and it's still running perfectly. Burns no oil whatever . . . never. Oil comes out as clean as it goes in on oil changes. Decent milage, low maintenance. You done good. Toyota is the best.

When did FORD start making them "Tacoma"? You did say TRUCK not some toy? Jut kidding... congrats on your new car. My first new car was a Toyota 4X4 pickup back in 1984. Loved that truck and drove it all over this great country. Too bad it bit the dust during hurricane Andrew.

"Desert Storm protection package" eh? Does that come with Chobham armor, a 120mm smoothbore cannon and a coaxial .50? (Congratulations, btw) [sniper]

I just bought a '01 V8 Tundra Limited w/all the goodies!!! God, I love that thing! 4 wheel low feels like it could move mountains (or at least climb them). The second door is also extremely handy and the back seats can actually fit PEOPLE in 'em (not that I ever have any room w/all the crap I have back there). It also has the highest ground clearance I've seen in a production truck. Go TOY's!!!

Welcome to the club! I am on my second 2001 Tacoma. Trashed my first one when I blew a stop sign unseen with the sun in my eyes... Now I find myself included in a class action lawsuit against State Farm Insurance. My second Tacoma now has Fabtech 2" lift installed, Line-x bedliner, ARB bumper winch mount, Warn M8000 winch, A.R.E. bed cover. Sure do like it alot. Had to have the power steering pump replaced at 11000 miles under warranty. Bad leak developed. Great trucks in search of great drivers, which I am not...

My 87 Nissan 2.4L, 5-speed Hardbody has over 180,000 miles on it and still has the stock clutch. Never broke down other than the fuel pump going out 6 years ago. Gone through 4-5 sets of tires, 3 brake jobs, and 3 paint jobs (The CA sun murders red paint). As far as reliability, it's the best car I ever owned. In fact, it out lived my Toyota Corolla by a long shot. Obviously, I don't like spending a lot on gas. I've never owned anything other than 4 bangers.
